Purchased by me via The FaceTory subscription
I have been dying to try these sheet masks from Korean brand PACKage for years and now that I have done it, I don't know where to find them anymore! I find a lot of these new Korean sheet mask brands vanish just as quickly as they appear so going forward, I am going to try to stay on top of sheet masks in a fairly reasonable timeframe (like within the year). I received these masks through my FaceTory subscription and had planned on trying them all, but like I said, they seem hard to find now. It was the Instagram-worthy packaging that really caught my attention, but I also saw some really positive reviews from fellow sheet maskers on IG so when I finally got these masks in my possession, I immediately put them on my list to try. Thankfully, I now have my act together three years later and have a review for you!
What makes this mask special? Two things! One, this has acids in it and is actually an exfoliating mask! It has an AHA (citric, glycolic, malic, lactic and tartartic acid) + BHA complex (salicylic acid) as well as hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin. The second thing that makes this mask special are the words of affirmation written on the cheek to help you feel good about yourself!
This mask had a little message on the cheek "I love myself. I am more than beautiful". Not necessary to have on a mask, but I won't say no to a little positive affirmation before bed!
Mask Summary:
Price: $3.99 USD
What it does: Exfoliates the skin and preps it for makeup application
Scent: None really. Maybe a bit medicinal, but not much of scent.
Essence Type: Slightly watery, clear
Duration: 30 minutes (I left his on for double the amount of time recommended with no issues!)
Thickness: Thin
Mask Fit: Very weird. The eye holes were massive, the mask felt so "loose" that I had lots of excess mask hanging off the side of my face. I saw another review of this mask and it did not look the same so maybe I stretched mine by accident?
Tackiness: Very minimal with a soft, plump finish.
Hydration: Very good!
Other notes: There was a lot of essence in the packet and combined with how thin this mask was, the unfolding process was SUCH a challenge! There was no plastic backing so I did my best to unfold the mask, but may have stretched it in the process!
What makes this mask special? This is a soothing mask containing cica and madecassoside so if you have been out in the sun all day or have stressed and angry skin, this is the mask for you! There is no added fragrance so sensitive skin types don't have to worry! The packaging is again very cute and a bit weird at the same time, but there was no writing on the mask itself.
Mask Summary:
Price: $3.99 USD
What it does: Soothes and heals
Scent: None
Essence Type: Clear and lightly viscous
Duration: 30 minutes (plenty of essence to probably have pushed for another 15 minutes)
Thickness: Thin AF
Mask Fit: So much better than the "I Love Myself" mask! The eyeholes were normal and though it was maybe a bit big on the sides of my face, it was what I would expect of a good Korean sheet mask!
Tackiness: None! My skin felt soft and plump.
Hydration: It was good, but I wanted to add a touch of oil-free moisturizer just to seal everything in.
Other notes: Unfolding the mask was again a bit of a challenge, but I made sure to go slowly and be very delicate.
What makes this mask special? A true sheet mask for bed, this mask contains lavender oil to soothe the mind and uses a thick cream essence to nourish the skin. The mask is like an aromatherapy session in a packet and has no added fragrance - just the natural stuff.
This mask is also a white sheet compared to the other two masks which were a more translucent material. I have noticed this mainly with cream essences.
This mask also has a message that says "You did well today. Sweet dreams". Love it! I read that later versions of this mask had the message removed.
Mask Summary:
Price: $3.99 USD
What it does: Puts you and your skin to sleep!
Scent: Glorious lavender! My favourite scent!
Essence Type: White and super creamy
Duration: 30 minutes
Thickness: Thin/medium - definitely thicker than the previous two masks.
Mask Fit: Much better than the "I Love Myself" mask! The eyeholes were normal, but still a little wrinkly in areas. The essence really made everything stick well though so nothing came loose.
Tackiness: My skin felt a little slick at first, like I had applied too much facial oil, but then after 2 hours, my skin got REALLY supple!
Hydration: Fantastic!
Other notes: Unfolding the mask seemed easier with the cream essence or maybe I was prepared for a struggle and just knew how to unfold better!
Final verdict: Someone please tell me where I can find more of these masks! I thought they were so cute and the Sweet Dream mask was one that I especially enjoyed. I think based on how the other two masks fit and seeing other people's reviews that the I Love Myself mask was one that I damaged and stretched. I thought the little messages on the masks were cute and the packaging so chic and attractive. If I am able to find them easily, I would hands down pick up a box of Sweet Dreams just because of that lavender scent and the incredibly results it gave!
I have seen this mask in random Asian online retailers, but I don't know how trustworthy they are!
