In addition to wearing super bright nail polish, the other theme I love about summer nails is that we all wanna put FRUIT on 'em! I think I have done some version of fruit each year, but awhile ago I saw some dragonfruit nails on N.Y.A Nails and thought "How CUTE?!" This was one fruit I have never attempted to paint and despite the fact that I am not a fan of ingesting dragonfruit (I mean it's ok, but I feel like I would rather sink my teeth into an orange), painting its insides was great fun!

Going with the dragonfruit for today's manicure also gave me a chance to use one of the polishes from the OPI x Barbie collaboration! I think we are all embracing the hot pink in us since the release of the movie and I am totally ok with that! I would wear pink nails all the time! For the white meaty insides of the dragonfruit, I went with the shade Funny Bunny which is kind of a milky white which was perfect for the translucent finish I wanted. The green thorns were probably the weirdest parts to draw, but it also gave me a chance to use this fun green from this year's OPI summer collection!
