HAIR | Design.ME Quickie.ME Dry Shampoo

I have become quite the collector of dry shampoo spray especially now that that there are so many good ones out there for dark hair, but as many as I have tried, I still currently stick to COLAB, Kristen Ess and now Design.ME

KBEAUTY | Mimiang Animal Mayu Wrinkle Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

After these 100 days of sheet masking are over, I SWEAR you will start seeing me in some makeup! I promise! I'm sure most of you would believe me if I told you that I spend 24-7 of my day in a mask of some sort at this point and I almost want to try masking outside just to see if I would have the ladyballs to do it! When it comes to sheet mask reviews, I try to feature ones that are visually interesting or have something special going on. There are masks that are ho hum and perfectly fine, but wouldn't really be all that interesting to write about because they don't look like THIS ONE. When are you ever going to see me contemplating the wonders of the universe while looking like a zebra?

NAILS | Inspired by Design.Me Dry Shampoo Packaging #CBBxManiMonday

I had already been planning this manicure in my head after trying out the new Design.Me Quickie Me Dry Shampoo Spray (you bet I've got a review coming!) and loving the colours and matte finish of the packaging when our little CBB ManiMonday family decided that today's theme would be "Inspired By"! I will admit that whenever I feel uninspired for a design, I look to the packaging of MANY of my beauty products!

SKINCARE | Biotherm Life Plankton Essence in Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

The last time I featured Biotherm on this blog was a whopping FIVE years ago when we only had blogs to read and no Instagram accounts to maintain as well! While I was a fan of Biotherm's body products (their Lait Corporel is an orange lover's heaven!), I have never been a huge fan of their skincare. Not because it doesn't work, but because I feel there is always a lot of hype around their products, but when it comes time to look at the ingredients list, they just aren't as impressive as I think they should be. Though I have had the opportunity through press samples to try quite a bit of Biotherm product, there have only been a few things here and there that have caught my eye and they are the three in this photo - Life Plankton Essence, Aquasource Aura Concentrate and now the Life Plankton Essence-In-Mask!

BLOG | 5 Tips for Prettier Flatlays #NaBloPoMo

It's November which means mustaches for Movember, Remembrance Day, getting ready for the holidays and of course, National Blogging Post Month or more affectionately known as #NaBloPoMo. I thought about doing this last year, but my current average of 17-20 posts per month is already quite the struggle for me so doing 31 will prove challenging, but what I have decided to do to fully embrace and become one with #NaBloPoMo is to talk about other areas of interest. This is when I wish I was FAR more interesting and could give you a glimpse into my secret life as an exotic dancer or part-time pirate, but alas that is not the case and you will have to settle for my relatively PG-13 life.

JBEAUTY | Design Face Pack Japan Captain America and Iron Man Sheet Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

My last day of this epic sheet mask challenge is coming up next week and I still have so many reviews to share with you all! Some masks were definitely more interesting than others, but even though there were some nights where sheet masking felt like yet another thing to do, by the time I did it, I felt so much better mentally. I do miss my regular skincare routine and the nights where I paint my nails are much less complicated without having to wait 20-30 minutes to finish sheet masking, but I will continue to mask and definitely keep to my mission of bringing the weirdest and most wonderful sheet masks to you and the blog!

When I was in Montreal's Chinatown, I wandered into one store that happened to have the Marvel Face Pack containing printed sheet masks for both Iron Man and Captain America. The Design Face Pack brand has been quite hard for me to find in Vancouver and online at a decent price without insane shipping so when I saw this duo for $25, I snatched it right off the stand!
