KBEAUTY | OOZOO Bear Water Bang Hydrating Mask

I am always on the lookout for interesting sheet masks and amazingly enough, I have found a good chunk of them at my local Miniso! There is always something different and most recently I came across KBeauty company, The Oozoo. The letters are actually an acronym, but like a lot of Korean things that get translated into English, it doesn't make a lot of sense, BUT it's still fun to say.

The story goes that Oozoo Bear, the "skin fixer", has come from outer space to help us all with our various skin issues. In his ears, he carries with him an "essence" that must be "popped" to saturate the sheet mask. Weirdly cute, right?

There are a few different sheet masks that Oozoo Bear has to offer and though I picked up two from Miniso, I decided to start with the one that I needed the most - the Water-Bang Hydrating Mask ($3.99 CDN)!

As I mentioned above, this sheet masks has two parts - the sheet mask itself and an ampoule in Oozoo Bear's ear! Ampoules are generally more concentrated and often contain a few ingredients that rival serums with the consistency of an essence. There are now quite a number of sheet masks that while on their own are effective, have an additional separate ampoule that is stored on its own for maximum efficacy. Some are torn off at the perforated line and patted on like on essence and others, like this one, are meant to be mixed with the essence of the sheet mask.

Popping Oozoo Bear's ear required much more physical force than the simple roll motion depicted in the instructions, but after laying the mask down on a table and using my upper body to roll and press down, I heard a very loud *POP* which allowed me to mix the ampoule with the rest of the sheet mask. This was my far the coolest part of the whole sheet mask experience!

The resulting mixed essence smells floral with the mask itself being quite thin, allowing a very close fit to the skin making it fairly wrinkle-free. The edges of the mask seemed roughly cut almost like it was unfinished which is why there are some waves around my hairline.
