November 2012 Luvs

A year ago I started doing monthly product favourites so when I went into my Dropbox folder to add in my photos for November, I realized that I now had to specify what YEAR of November I was referring to! My, how time flies! I feel like I should have more favourites for the month, but sometimes I forget to write a product down and then *poof* it disappears from my brain. Anyway, here’s what I could remember!

1. L’Occitane Limited Edition Hand Cream in Desert Rose

It’s really quite sad that I only just got to trying out this hand cream when I actually blogged about when I got it last year here! I’ve talked about L’Occitane hand creams before and how much I love them so I won’t bore you with my jibber jabber, but this is a scent that I didn’t expect to love as much as I do! It’s a floral fragrance, but more on the sweet side. I’m sorry for even mentioning this as a luv because it isn’t even available right now. Please don’t hate me!

2. Ahava Mineral Body Lotion

We all love this line of hand and body lotions and I’m amazed I haven’t mentioned it as a favourite yet! If you haven’t gotten your hands on this product and smelled it, you haven’t lived! I’ve never smelled anything like it! As for the consistency, this moisturizer is fairly thick, not too watery and hydrates in a non-greasy way.

3. Lush Calacas Shower Jelly

This was a limited edition for Halloween and was crafted in honour of the Day of the Dead. You can’t quite see it anymore, but the jelly is supposed to be shaped like a skull. When I went to pick this up, the sales associate said that a lot of people thought the jelly was shaped like a baby…how morbid…anyway, this shower jelly has the scent of neroli and lime and really wakes you up! It has such a zing to it, you can’t help but perk up!

4. Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops

I’ve never used dry drops before and have been tempted to try OPI’s Rapid Dry Drops, but when these were offered in Julep’s October Maven Box, I decided to give them a go and boy am I glad I did! These have been a complete GAME CHANGER for me when it comes to drying time! I have gone from waiting all night to a matter of 10 minutes! I am able to actually RUB my nails against each other and they are not tacky at all! These also have lavender, rosewood and sweet almond oil which moisturize your cuticles and leaves them smelling like an apothecary.

5. Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink

I picked this up after having my makeup done by Smashbox at an event at Shoppers Drug Mart and you would think that I would already own a lipstick in this colour, but when I tried it on, it became quite a nice shade of pink on my lips. This lipstick is creamy, provides full coverage and has been a fantastic colour to wear everyday.

6. Real Techniques Blush Brush

When I saw that London Drugs started selling Real Techniques brushes, I flipped out! I have been using a blush brush from BH Cosmetics for the last 2 years, but when I switched to this one, the difference was incredible! This brush is so soft and blends out blush so softly and beautifully! I am never going back!

Can’t wait to read what all of you have been enjoying this past month!

  1. I got the it girl and the maven's choice box for October. Now I kind of regret not getting the quick dry drop after hearing all the raving reviews!

    1. I think we should all start a petition and then maybe they'll start carrying them!
If you have access to a local L'Occitane store, I would just wait until they have a gift with purchase because their bonuses are really good!

  14. For those wanting the Real Techniques brushes, if you can't find them where you live you can always purchase them online at iHerb.com, they charge very little for shipping no matter where they send. I'm so happy to have found them that I don't use other brushes anymore, I really wished Sam would make like an advanced eye kit or something like that and then my life would be complete LOL
Great favourites, by the way, I've been meaning to try L'Occitane but haven't had an opportunity yet ^^ xx

  15. I LOVE Ahava ANYTHING. Their lotions work so incredibly well. Have you ever tried their mud mask? My skin is super sensitive, but it responds so well to the mud masks, just immediately eliminates any redness and smooths my skin. +1 for Israeli sea beauty products...? :)
I just posted a November favorites too! I try to keep a list going in my phone of the things I love that month, but it still didn't work out too well!
