MAKEUP LOOK | Lise Watier Summer 2015 Rivages Collection Eyeshadow Palette and Bronzing Powder Review & Swatches

Last month we all squealed at the release of a STUNNING summer collection from Lise Watier and my only regret is waiting so long to share it with you all! The Rivages Collection features nine new products, a few of which I will be using in my makeup look today. My main focus though? That limited edition droolworthy eyeshadow palette and beautiful bronzer all inspired by summer days at the beach, hot sand and a refreshing ocean breeze!

The Palette Rivages Eyeshadow Palette* ($54.00 CDN) doesn’t come cheap, but each of the pans is fairly large at about the size of quarter and weighing about 1.5g each. Encased in plastic, the case has a beautiful mother of pearl design on the front making it look like it belongs in the sand (Ah, I see the theme now!).

The shadows, which range from satin to matte finishes, felt a little hard to the touch, but not to worry because the swatches are so pigmented! I know we say that A LOT in the beauty blogging world, but there is really only one way to say it! Each shade, even the sheer highlight shades showed up on my skin which garnered a big thumbs up from me! Immediately I am drawn to the bronze shades…*hypnotic stare*

The Bronzing Powder* ($39.00 CDN) is a whopping 20g of product. It’s not just me that thinks that’s a lot right? Do we use THAT much bronzer? I feel like I use more blush than bronzer so where is my “big as my head” blush?! I have a fear of dark bronzers so thankfully this powder is a soft blend of bronze, pink and gold shades providing the perfect balance of sunkissed natural glow and summer colour. There is a shimmer to this powder, so if you prefer a matte finish this may not be the bronzer for you. Look at that marbling though! It’s like looking at the perfect cut of steak!

For this makeup look, all I was really going for was “bronzed and beautiful” with golden sunset eyes. It was hard to choose which shades to use because I either wanted to use either two or eight of them!

Final Verdict: Both the bronzing powder and eyeshadow palette are limited edition and in my honest opinion totally worth the price. I know we all have enough neutral palettes, BUT this one is just so summer appropriate and will make your inner goddess glow (that phrasing was for you 50 Shades fans). The bronzer is the perfect blend of shades and can be used as a blush too. I absolutely adore both products and will keep them out to give them much love over the next few weeks.

The Lise Watier Rivages Collection will be available online at lisewatier.com, London Drugs and Shoppers Drug Mart until July 2015.
