MAKEUP | MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Pen

This will probably be the last brow product review you will see for awhile now that I have my eyebrows microbladed. I honestly have not used any brow products since getting them done because as many of you have seen from recent photos, they are pretty pigmented and full-looking! Brows have been SO BIG the last two years that when I look back at old photos, I want to kick myself for not caring about them sooner! I keep wanting to ask "Where are you eyebrows?!!" in pretty much all photos prior to 2014! Before getting microbladed, I was using brow pencils exclusively to fill in and shape my brows with the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Pen in #50* ($32.00 CDN) being one of my daily go-tos! Why, I tell you? I'll tell you why!

This is a 3-in-1 pencil that colours (5 shades), shapes and highlights brows all in a single efficient little pencil! I used to think the angled pencil was such a gimmick until I realized how much easier it made shaping my brows! This brow pencil also has a beveled triangular tip that makes shaping brows super easy.

Like most brow pencils, there HAS to be a spoole on the end and to be honest, I was a bad beauty lover and did not read the fine print. I stopped here and didn't realize that there was a highlighter built right into the pencil!

See that arrow pointing up on the pencil in the first photo? Twist that and BAM! Highlighter! I realized this after I had taken my photos which is why the one below is so off colour as it was taken at 10pm. I actually loved how handy this was to give my brows a little bit of an illuminating lift.

Final verdict:
I still have to get one final touch-up on my brows at the end of this month, but you can see on my left brow that I still have some sparse areas to fill in mainly on the arch and towards the front. This pencil is more on the powder than wax side which is what makes the finish so natural-looking, but this also causes the intensity of the colour to fade a little bit over the day. Overall, this is a great little pencil that does it all, but if you plan on going swimming or need your brows intact for more than 10 hours, I would either use a wax-based pencil or brush on some brow gel.

The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Brow Pen is available at Sephora and MAKE UP FOR EVER boutiques.
