MAKEUP LOOK | Shu Uemura Murakami Cosmic Blossom Eye & Cheek Palette in Cosmicool with Swatches

I wore this look to work. That's how Cosmi-"cool" I felt about it! Shu Uemura's eyeshadow palettes are usually the ones that give me grabby hands and the Murakami Cosmic Blossom Eye & Cheek Palettes*($85 CDN each) are definitely grabby! You will not be able to keep your paws off them!

I almost want to frame my product photos with the Murakami flowers because they just look so goddamn happy all the time.

Coming in the warm-toned Cosmikawaii and the cool-toned Cosmicool, both palettes contain three shimmery, three glittery and one matte eyeshadow alongside one blush. Normally, I would have gravitated toward the warmer Cosmikawaii, but because of the blue and purple in my hair, I decided to go with Cosmicool and have some otherworldly fun!

The Cosmicool palette comes with three slightly shimmery shades of purple and grey, a matte navy blue, three gritty glitters that work best on top of other eyeshadows and a cool-toned pink blush. Oddly enough, the grey is actually more like a grey-brown when swatched.

I was channeling a bit of a modern 80s vibe and while I normally would have gone with a very neutral lip considering the eyeshadow, I decided to go with a bold glossy one!

Final verdict: As a Shu lover, I could not be without at least ONE of these palettes. I'm kind of sold on the packaging alone, but I do love having in all-in-one fun coloured palettes like these ones. This is not only a true collectable, but the shades are fun, pigmented and in a combination I have not really seen before. No, the Cosmicool palette isn't necessarily an everyday palette, but for the price and packaging, I wouldn't expect it to be! Sometimes you just need a crazier palette!
