HOLIDAYS | Kérastase PARIS Chroma Riche Holiday Set

You have no idea how annoyed I am with myself for not sharing MORE holiday gift sets with you all! Aren't there SO MANY good ones out there? Christmas is single-handedly the best time to get some amazing value sets. Every brand from drugstore to luxury seem to package up their bestsellers to make it oh-so-easy to find the perfect gift for ourselves or someone else! One look at the "K" in Kerastase and I immediately know they know their hair. I picked up my first Kerastase styling product in 2009 and was smitten, but wasn't sure which other products were best for me. Granted, I wasn't as into my hair back then and had really no reason to invest in haircare products. Honestly, unless hair is coloured, there really shouldn't be too much fuss!

Kérastase PARIS Chroma Riche Holiday Set Review

This holiday season, Kerastase has curated a number of gift sets for virtually ANY haircare need. I was torn between the "Gift of Shine" and the "Gift of Colour Protection", but oilslick hair wins and colour protection has now become a matter of national defense!

The Kerastase Chroma Riche Holiday Gift Set* ($104 CDN) includes the Laque Couture Hairspray, Bain Chroma Riche Shampoo and Masque Chroma Riche. All are full sizes which means this kit saves you $40!

Kérastase PARIS Chroma Riche Holiday Set Review

What I liked about the Laque Couture was the very subtle scent. After my experience with L'Oreal Elnett, I cannot tolerate a strong hairspray scent! If any of you have smelled that you will know what I am talking about! This is medium hold so this has been perfect for holding curls or soft waves without having my hair feel too crunchy. The mist is also very dispersed so there will not be any areas of hair that get more product than others.

For some reason, I was expecting both of the Bain Chroma Riche Shampoo and Masque to be heavily scented, but in reality they were quite subtle smelling only a little floral. The shampoo had a good and satisfying lather and cleansed my three day hair thoroughly. I use a fair amount of dry shampoo on days I don't wash my hair and I find it irritating when shampoos don't clean in exchange for being gentle. My only gripe is that I wish this bottle was a "squeeze out" instead of me having to unscrew the top.

The Masque I used as conditioner and REALLY liked. It's hard to get my hair feeling soft now so this certainly did the trick! I did still need to add some oil to my hair after blow-drying though so while this mask made a difference in hair softness, hydration was still something I needed to take care of.

I know it's a little too late to think about Christmas gifts now...or is it?! Dec.24th is still very much a Saturday and for those of you who will be working like me, there is still time to pick up one of these value sets!
