As I write this, I have Google Play Music playing only the best of Christmas pop and I know the holiday season is here. I feel like from here on in, all of us are just living for Dec.25th! I don't even know what to blog about other than holiday now. I mean, would you read something OTHER than holiday content at this point?
One brand that I look forward to seeing every holiday season is Lise Watier. I always find their collections so cohesive and complete with new shade additions to existing favourites and of course palette packaging and embossing that will leave any beauty lover wanting more! This year's Arabesque Collection is elegantly holiday-themed with ballet and dance being the inspiration behind the swirls and romantic shades.

I have almost the whole collection to share with you with only the blush and golden gloss being absent so sit down and enjoy the mini reviews and swatch-a-thon!
Lise Watier always has such pretty palette packaging and this year's is gold, glittery and perfectly festive! My only qualm is the push button opening that opens easily as it is quite long.
The Arabesque 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palettes* ($42 CDN each) come in the cool-toned Coppelia and warmer Isadora. While I absolutely adored the dark grey from Coppelia, Isadora was a bit more suited to my skin tone. The embossing was very pretty, but after my swatch and makeup session, most of it was finito.
The Isadora Palette performed better than Coppelia with all of the shades swatching nicely. However, the middle glittery shade was a bit gritty which I have come to accept of this type of eyeshadow and think of it more as an eyeshadow topper.
The white and the light pink shades were a bit hard to swatch as I really had to swipe a few times to get full colour payoff. The middle glitter shade was again more like an eyeshadow topper so I didn't expect too much from this swatch.
New colour additions to existing product lines include: Ombre Souffle Supreme in Lingerie* ($26.00 CDN), Smokey Kohl Velours in Rose Velours* ($23.00 CDN) and the Twist & Sharp Automatic Long Lasting Eye Stylo in Platine* ($23.00 CDN).
The lip products were among my favourites in this collection with Cerise Noir* and Arabesque* ($25.00 CDN each) being added to the Rouge Gourmand Collection. Cerise Noir is a beautiful dark purple, perfect for Fall and Winter, and Arabesque being neutral and feminine. What I really fell in love with was the new Baiser Velours in Swan Kiss* ($28.00 CDN)! It didn't look like much in the tube or even as a swatch, but on the lips was a whole other story! The formulation of these lip creams is fantastic and while not budgeproof, provide a comfortable and wearable matte finish.
The Gelee Souffle Lumiere for Face and Body* ($29.00 CDN) comes in a glass jar for extra fanciness and is a stiff jelly that you will need to work into the skin. I found this more pleasant to use on the body than on the face.
The Arabesque Trio of Illuminating Powders* ($45.00 CDN) did not look like much in the pan, but when I actually swatched and tried them on my face, I fell in love! I found them easy to blend and gave just the right amount of highlight in the appropriate spots!
I have always wanted a pink makeup brush and now I have one! The Face & Corsage Brush* ($32.00 CDN) is perfect for blush or other powders and potions you may have and will make you feel so happy when you are using this pink puff of happiness. I was immediately enamoured with the Base Miracle Radiance Blurring Effect Primer* ($45.00 CDN) because GLITTER, but was disappointed when it came to use it because it was just so greasy feeling. I feel like there is way too much silicone in this product for me to enjoy.
I decided to focus on glow for this look so I grabbed the Isadora palette and got to work! Looking at the photos, I realize that the eyeshadow looks far less dramatic than with the swatches which is unfortunate because it looked just fine in real life!
