SKINCARE | For Beloved Girl Extreme Moisture Mineral Cloud Silk Mask #LunarFebruary

Two weeks ago, I reviewed the For Beloved Girl Skin Renewal Silk Mask and loved it so I thought I would continue with my thoughts on the other five masks in the FBG series especially this one that I have been using during the dry winter months - the Extreme Moisture Cloud Silk Mask* (3 pcs/$12.99 CDN)! The focus of this mask is obviously moisture with a focus on sodium hyaluronate to give thirsty skin so much needed hydration. Let's see how different/similar this was to the last FBG mask I tried!

I won't repeat myself when it comes to the technology and origin story of FBG, but everything about this mask is the same in that the cloud silk technology is still one of the best and innovative cotton masks I have EVER tried. It has an amazing fit thanks to how stretchy and thin this mask is which makes it so comfortable to wear. A sheet mask is supposed to mimic skin and this one is as close as it is going to get (unless it's bio-cellulose).

The featured ingredient in the Extreme Moisture Mask is the salt of hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate which is found a little bit further down the ingredients list than I was expecting so I have a feeling it's really more "the other stuff" that is doing the moisturizing.

Final verdict: This mask had a slightly more tacky finish than the Skin Renewal Mask with a longer dry down. Eventually most of the tackiness disappeared, but I barely felt the need for moisturizer, but out of habit I massaged 3 drops of rosehip oil onto my face for some extra glow. Yes, this mask worked, but I prefer the Skin Renewal Mask mainly because of the tackiness factor. I also wasn't too sold on the sodium hyaluronate doing the moisturizing as there were other water-binding ingredients in higher concentrations that were probably responsible for my skin's hydration. Not my favourite mask in the group, but a decent one nonetheless!
