SKINCARE | #CBBGetsSheetFaced Week 2 with CNF, Ariul, Feferafe, XOY, Mustus & Origins! #FoodWeek

OMG, we are at the halfway point of our sheet mask challenge AND February! WHERE DOES THE TIME GO? Week 2 of #CBBGetsSheetFaced was all about food which gave me a chance to try out some "dessert-themed" masks from my collection.

CNF Cosmetics Mangosteen Calming Sheet Mask

Day 1: CNF Cosmetic Mangosteen with Iceland Glacial Water Calming Sheet Mask* (Beauteque)
This was an easy mask to wear and enjoy and though I had never heard of this brand until receiving it in a Beauteque press box, CNF also makes sheet masks for other more well-known brands like Papa Recipe and 23 Years Old. The scent of the mask was pleasant remind me more of lychee than mangosteen, but still very enjoyable. The fit of the mask was relatively good with the actual material being quite thin and soft, but the eye and mouth holes could have been a bit bigger. The essence was watery and left zero tackiness on my skin. I added just a few pats of facial oil once the essence had been absorbed.

Ariul Juice Cleanse Mask

Day 2: Ariul Juice Cleanse Mask (FaceTory)
Now, THIS was a fun one because it had a two part aspect that I will be reviewing in full next week so I won't go into too much detail here, but what made this mask cool was the dots of powdered vitamin C that were "activated" once I poured in the essence. The scent was pretty medicinal, not like oranges and the essence was quite tacky. As much as I massaged the essence to make sure the mask was evenly covered, there were still a few dots of vitamin C that didn't dissolve properly. When I removed the mask, there were still a few grains of powder on my face and I was initially disappointed with the results after all that "werk werk werk werk werk" until I woke up the next morning. My skin looked so glowy! It was like I just had a tan!

Feferafe Ice Cream Mask

Day 3: Feferafe Ice Cream Mask* (Beauteque)
With packaging like this, I was expecting this mask to smell at least like the artificial desserts I would play with as a kid, but it actually only smelled faintly sweet which turned out to be a good thing as strong fragrances in sheet masks are not my favourite. The sheet itself was very soft, thin and plush with a reasonably good fit. There was no tackiness upon mask removal, but my skin felt only lightly hydrated so I ended up applying my current moisturizer - the Jowae Moisturizing Light Cream.

Mustus Daily Harvest Squeeze Mask Pack

Day 4: Mustus Daily Harvest Squeeze Energy Up Vitality/Healthy Mask Pack*

Firstly, you will notice the packaging is made of brown paper and skinny like the Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Masks. The essence also smelled juicy like fizzy orange juice! The mask material was very thin with the mouth being a bit small, but other than that, the fit was quite nice. Upon mask removal, my skin was not tacky and did not need moisturizer afterwards as my skin felt happy and hydrated.

XOY Dark Choco Mask

Day 5: XOY Dark Choco Mask (FaceTory)
Like the Feferafe Ice Cream Mask, I was expecting this mask to smell very sweet, but instead of smelling like chocolate, it was more like a faintly nutty scent. The first thing I noticed was how gooey the cream essence was...like grossly gooey, but other than that everything else was fairly pleasant. The mask sheet itself was very plushy and though the fit was a little wrinkly, the mask stayed on well probably because the essence was like glue! Amazingly, the tackiness level upon removal was quite minimal considering how sticky the essence was! My skin was very hydrated afterwards so it was worth the gooey-ness!

Origins Flower Fusion Raspberry Refreshing Sheet Mask

Day 6: Origins Flower Fusion Raspberry Refreshing Sheet Mask

My mask selfie depicts sadness as I did not enjoy this mask very much mainly because of fit. The Origins sheet masks tend to be thicker and while that might not be a bad thing if the essence is gel-like and the mask fibers are able to hug facial contours, this mask was the equivalent of a piece of posterboard being forced onto my face. The scent was faintly fruity and while the fit wasn't great, my skin was again quite hydrated upon removal.

Day 7: Mustus Daily Harvest Squeeze Power Up Elastic/Conditioning Mask Pack*

I didn't bother with the selfies for this one as this mask looked identical to the Vitality mask, but it was ever so slightly more tacky. The essence smelled refreshing like pomegranate and the mask material was thin with the fit being good with the exception of the mouth being a bit small.

Alrighty and that wraps up Week 2! Be sure to follow along on Instagram stories with the hashtag #CBBGetsSheetFaced and see what my partners in crime Chantal from Chantal's Corner and Renee from See the World in Pink are doing for their sheet masks!
