Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I wasn't actually planning on doing a set of themed nails, but after getting nostalgic about the days where I used to do more detailed nail art and came out with creative designs like the Trojan Condoms I decided it was time to challenge myself again so we had an easy, early dinner, I took an early shower and I plunked myself down at my station to do these "sexting" nails!

After reviewing the Lush Valentine's Day collection and finding it so amusing, I realized that I wanted to do the exact same tongue in cheek humor on my nails! I am wearing these nails to work so I am hoping no one gets offended OR thinks I am coming on to them (no pun intended...).
I started off with two coats of Essie Mind-ful Meditation* from the new Serene Slates Collection and then hand-drew the eggplant, water and peach emoticons with acrylic paint. The hearts were created using a dotting tool using the shades OPI Another Ramen-tic Evening* and OPI Toying with Trouble* and then outlined in black acrylic paint.
I gave everything a nice glossy top coat using the Essie Gel Top Coat and I was done!
How are you spending Valentine's Day? KC and I will be eating at home and then having date night over the long weekend. Ah, the joys of being old and loving being at home ;-)
