KBEAUTY | Peripera Mini Luggage Cosmetics Kit #LunarFebraury

When it comes to ridiculously cute packaging, Asian cosmetics always win hands-down! They really do a brilliant job of making sure adult women continue to squeal with excitement well into their middle ages over a lipstick shaped like a parasol, a cat-shaped cushion foundation or in this case a miniature rolling suitcase filled with mini lipsticks, a concealer and a cream contour! Leave it up to Peripera to release something as cute as this! I picked this up last year and recently got around to trying out some of the products inside and realized that if I thought this was adorable, some of you might as well!

Purchased myself

Firstly, let's look at the actual suitcase because this really was the main selling feature! The handle actually pulls up and the wheels rotate and move around. I knowww! It also comes with STICKERS to decorate your luggage which I will be using for my skincare fridge slated to arrive this month!

Peripera has some fantastic lip products and after trying the Peri's Ink Lipstain (review) I moved on to trying their Ink Velvets, a whipped formula with a matte finish, but hadn't experienced much else in the lip department so when I saw that this little suitcase contained miniature versions of the Ink Airy, a softer version of the Ink Velvets, Vivid Tint, another shade I didn't have of the Ink Velvet, Ink Concealer and Ink Multi, which is like a cream contour. The lip shades provided are very classically Korean in terms of corals and "just-bitten" lips as these are meant to be used mainly for a tint, but can be layered for the North American style full coverage.

All come with a doe-foot applicator and from swatches below, I think it is fairly self-explanatory what is what. All had the exact amount of coverage I was expecting and the Ink Velvet in "So Grapefruit" was particularly pigmented. It wasn't quite as matte as I thought it would be, but I really didn't mind as the colour payoff was so intense in one swipe.

The Ink Concealer was nicer than I thought it would be as I never really see concealers in KBeauty collections. It was very brightening, easy to apply and didn't feel cakey. Compared to my all-time favourite concealer, the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye, I found this concealer more on the brightening side than the "concealing" side which fits with the Korean makeup focus on flawless, glowing skin.

I'm not a huge fan of watery tints and this one in "Apple Squeeze" is similar to the very first tint I tried and hated - Benefit's Benetint. I get the appeal of this type of lip, but I much prefer something full coverage or a plain old lipgloss.

The Ink Airy was indeed VERY comfortable, but maybe a little too peachy for my liking. I sense a different colour in the future, but I did like the "blurry" look this finish gave.

This is the North American makeup lover in me, but I really liked this Ink Velvet in "So Grapefruit"! It's bright, saucy and something I would totally wear!

Final verdict: As cute as this is, I know that realistically I'm not going to store makeup in a suitcase or replace a cosmetics bag with it (which is what the product description suggests). I feel like it is more of a display piece, but I don't have a Tati-sized beauty room that I can display this in so I feel like I'm going to be gifting this to my friend's 3 year-old daughter who adores makeup and all things pink. The products were great fun though and now I know what to add to my Peripera collection!

You can find Peripera at various KBeauty e-tailers. I got this miniature luggage kit at www.cosmetic-love.com
