After my last makeup look using The Body Shop’s Color Crush Eye Shadow in Grape Expectations, I was excited to see the colour selection for the summer as I constantly want to look metallic like ALL THE TIME. Today’s makeup look features the shade Gorgeous Gold ($10.00 CDN), a metallic yellowish gold, with the same soft, buttery texture as Grape Expectations and provides great colour payoff. Since I LOVE these shadows so much, I also picked up Brownie & Clyde, which is a shimmery, metallic taupe that pairs off beautifully with Gorgeous Gold.
I started with Gorgeous Gold all over my lids, followed by Brownie & Clyde on the outer edge and across the hollow of my eye socket. I then added some false lashes to complete the look.
Also, I threw in this picture because my hair is super long now and I’m wondering if I should keep it this length or cut it. What do you guys think?
Final Verdict: I love these eye shadows and the enormous Color Crush range that’s offered. I think they are relatively affordable at $10 a pop and blend beautifully using either fingers or makeup brushes. I have tried three different colours and each one has had wonderful colour payoff, longevity and buttery softness that I have seen in other much more expensive makeup brands. I feel very confident in saying that after having worn a few colours now that these Color Crush Eye Shadows are da bomb. Grab a few. You won’t be disappointed.
