*Earth Friendly* Lush | Emotional Brilliance EOTD with “Sophisticated” and “Control”

Why is Lush earth-friendly? Well, the recycling program is definitely one of my favourite aspects of the company as well as the cruelty-free and vegan products! Today I will be showing a quick eye look with Lush Emotional Brilliance Cream Eye Shadow in Sophisticated ($18.95) and Liquid Eyeliner in Control ($18.95), both of which are created with a soothing base of rose petal and almond oil for colour that lasts all day. Don’t you just love the names of the colours? I feel like I could save the whole world being “sophisticated” and “in control”!

Packaging comes in a glass bottle with a doe-foot applicator. We pay a little more for glass, but it IS better for the environment!

“Sophisticated” is a shimmery taupe cream eye shadow that applies quite opaque. Just be sure to let the eye shadow dry a little bit before blending because I found that when it was still fresh, the colour would move around on my eye.

After patting on the eye shadow, I drew a simple cat eye with “Control” which is a deep, navy blue liquid eyeliner is quite wet, so wait a couple of seconds before blinking or doing anything else!

Final Verdict: I am really in love with the cream eye shadow as I felt its longevity lived up to its claims. The eyeliner formula was slightly more wet than what I am used to, but with some waiting time and a couple of “go-overs”, I was able to get the lines I wanted. I love the unique colour selection of all of the eyeliners in the Lush Emotional Brilliance line as blues and purples are some of my FAVOURITE eyeliner colours. My eyes were watering a little bit from lining my waterline so I didn’t have any colour left along my bottom lashes after an hour or two, but the top stayed intact for much longer. In the future, I would almost want to set the liner with a powder because I love the overall look!
