So far, I’ve talked about earth-friendly products for your lips, underarms, kitchens and teeth, but we can’t forget about our beloved feet! My feet probably stand to take the most abuse and I tend to forget about them because I cover them up with slippers and socks and it’s out of sight, out of mind!
I started using Kiss My Face Peppermint Foot Scrub ($8.95) a couple of weeks ago to see how my feet would respond to some extra TLC and low and behold, I think I might be ready for sandal season!
This foot scrub isn’t harsh so if you have majorly tough skin, I would probably give it a god scrub with a pumice stone first before attempting to use this. I know it’s supposed to smell like peppermint, but it smells almost lemony to me which I enjoy! You can see that this scrub is quite creamy and has small grains of pumice and walnut shell to give your feet an exfoliating, yet moisturizing treat.
Ingredients: Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Stearate, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shells, Pumice, Emulsifying Wax NF, Vegetable Glycerin, Ceteareth-20, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract*, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract*, Xanthan Gum, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Butter, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Butter, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Lecithin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Sorbate *Organic
Final Verdict: I have been using this foot scrub in the shower right after my body scrub and I have noticed that my heels especially are slowly getting softer and more supple with every use. I used to have a fine layer of callused skin from last summer that I was never able to shake, but I am starting to feel my real skin poking through! I’ll be all ready for summer in no time!
