The Body Shop | Color Crush Eyeshadow in Grape Expectations and Lipstick in #320 Berry in Love Review and FOTD

The last time I wore makeup from The Body Shop was a blush back in 2002. I don’t really know why I never went back for more, but I really should have as there have been a number of cult classics that we have The Body Shop to thank – *ahem* Shimmer Cubes! The new Color Crush Makeup line is the newest in makeup at The Body Shop and is filled with happy brights to usher in the Spring season.

For my eyes, I am using Color Crush Eye Shadow in Grape Expectations ($10.00) which is a wine-coloured shadow with a slight shimmer. Purple can look a bit “bruisey” on me so I smoked it out with Urban Decay – Crave which is a matte black shadow found in the Naked Basics palette. Grape Expectations is wonderfully smooth and has a colour intensity that can be softened quite a fair bit with a fluffy brush.

For my lips, I used Color Crush Lipstick in #320 Berry in Love ($13.00) which is a neutral, slightly pearly pink with a highly moisturizing finish.

I topped off my lips with a dab of Mango Lip Gloss ($10.00) right in the middle for some extra shine. This smells SO GOOD. Like real mangoes!

Final Verdict: Have you seen the other eye shadow colours in the Color Crush line? Yes, please! All three of these products worked beautifully together and even though the Grape Expectations is a harder colour for me to wear, there are at least 5 other shades that would not say no to! The lipstick feel wonderful on my lips and smells ever so slightly of roses and I will resist getting more for now, but seriously, I’m impressed! The Mango Lip Gloss gives a great shine without being sticky and smells just like the real thing!

The Color Crush collection can be found online and in The Body Shop stores.

Some of the products provided are PR samples.
