MAKEUP LOOK | Getting Ready for Spring with Guerlain’s Les Tendres Spring 2015 Collection Review

I feel like I only seem to keep track of the seasons not by solstice, but by makeup collection. In December, I was blessed (yes, I use that term on purpose because it almost felt heaven-sent) with a good Samaritan who received my Guerlain package in error and took the trouble to look up my blog and email me to let me know she had it. It was probably the best Christmas present I had ever gotten!

When it comes to luxury colour cosmetics, Guerlain is like Mecca for me. I’ll make the journey to splurge once a year and worship from afar for the other 364 days. Released last month, Guerlain’s Spring Les Tendres 2015 Collection is all about radiance and having that naturally glowing complexion. There are some definite star products that I cannot help but highlight in the coming posts, but here is a somewhat first impression post of the products I used to create this glowing Spring look!

Guerlain Spring Les Tendres Makeup Look Review

Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow Light Revealing Sheer Makeup Anti Fatigue Effect Baby Glow Review
The Meteorites Baby Glow Light Revealing Sheer Makeup Anti-fatigue Effect Baby Glow*(60.00 CDN) is a bit of a mouthful when it comes to product names, but is a weightless, fairly full-coverage foundation. It is quite hydrating and feels watery at first so it has you thinking that it will be too sheer to really do anything, but it eventually becomes ever so slightly thicker and then *boom* goes the dynamite and you’ve got your coverage! It also has an SPF of 25 and diamond powder for that light-revealing glow!

Guerlain Limited Edition Meteorites Perles de Blush Review
My “perles” arrived a little broken, but it certainly didn’t detract from their beauty! The Meteorites Perles de Blush Angelic Radiance*($58.00 CDN) is one of my favourite products of this collection. I only wish the packaging wasn’t cardboard as everything else Guerlain is always so solid-feeling. There are three different shades of mini pearls that each act to revive, highlight and refresh to give positively cherubic-coloured cheeks. When I first looked at it, I thought the pink was TOO pink, but the colour turned out to be just right.

Guerlain Meteorites Compact Light Revealing Powder Review
The Meteorites Compact Light Revealing Powder*($71.00 CDN) just looks COOL. This is a beautiful mosaic of shades that act to correct and enhance skin tone. This is the new pressed powder version of the classic pearl packaging for friendly on-the-go travel.

Guerlain Cils DEnfer Volume Creating Curl Sculpting Mascara in Marine Review
Unfortunately, this was the one product that I did not enjoy mainly because the Cils D’Enfer Volume Creating Curl Sculpting Mascara*($34.00 CDN) is actually navy blue, but cannot be seen on my eyelashes. I DID get some volume and the formula wasn’t too wet for my lashes so there was that, but I wish I could have seen the blue. Oh, to have blonde lashes.

Now, let’s put it all together!
