NAILS | OPI x Hello Kitty Holiday Glitter Gradient

Woohoo, I am four for four blog posts this week! This year is the lowest number of blog posts I have ever written since starting Cosmetic Proof in 2011. Call it fatigue, the year of "The Instagram" or just an overwhelming amount of beauty stuff to talk about, but I have had a rough time sticking to my goal of 20 blog posts of month. In the last 6 months, I have allowed myself to dial it back a bit to rest or enjoy my evenings watching Netflix or spending it with my husband. I have also started to do less blogging-related things on my two days off especially when it comes to makeup looks which I am a bit sad about because there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a look come together. I don't know what 2020 will be like, but I know I will still be around talking to you, talking to myself and just putting it out there. As you can tell, this post isn't just about the nail polish although we should probably address what's on my nails a little bit before I go completely off the deep end!

This isn't the first time Hello Kitty and OPI have collaborated and I certainly hope it isn't the last! The first collaboration was back in 2016 and I STILL cannot get enough of it! I loved all the shades and did quite a number of manicures with them! This year's OPI holiday collection is fun, bright and glittery just like the insides of Hello Kitty! On my nails today is two coats of this juicy purple called Hello Pretty* topped off with a glitter gradient using OPI x Hello Kitty Born to Sparkle*. I feel like I have done a manicure similar to this colour scheme before, but pink and purple are just such a pretty combination that when I see these two colours, I have a hard time not wanting to make the two collide!

Anyway, I can't believe that not only are we coming to the end of 2019, but the end of a DECADE! I don't remember thinking that way when we went from 2009 to 2010, but maybe it has something to do with my age now. I hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of 2019 with friends, family and positive thoughts!
