For the first time in awhile, I have done my nails BEFORE the actual Monday of ManiMonday! This week has been busy, but I have been surprisingly productive both at work and on the blog. I blogged a whopping 5x last week which has been unheard of since I went on staycation in September and managed to meal plan, not have to buy a single lunch or dinner outside on top of working a very hectic holiday work schedule. Mind you, I managed to acquire a two day tension headache somewhere in the midst of all this, but then I remembered that drinking water is my friend which has been quite helpful as getting sick is the LAST thing I want now that I am so close to not just surviving this month, but kicking its ass too!

When it comes to holiday manicure, there isn't TOO much variation in what I have done over the years. There are always, Christmas trees, snowflakes, Stormtroopers (sometimes) and the occasional Santa, but one thing I have yet to feature is the gingerbread man! He's the only Christmas character with a finite timeline until death or ingestion. It's quite sad really, but ever since Shrek, every time I think of gingerbread men, I hear the scream "not my gumdrop buttons!"
Using this pin as inspiration, I went on my merry, way hand-drawing the little guys and decorating them using shades from the OPI x Hello Kitty Collection.

Polishes used:
(Base) OPI x HK Let Love Sparkle*
(Gingerbread Men) Brown, white, pink and blue acrylic paint, OPI x HK Many Celebrations to Go!* and All About the Bows*
(Snow) OPI Infinite Shine Non-Stop White*
(Top Coat) OPI Infinite Shine Top Coat*
I don't know how big of a fan I am of the metallic Let Love Sparkle, but as a background for the gingerbread, it seemed to work. I've never really been a fan of this shade and metallic finishes like this in general, but it does make the collection as a whole look very appealing so I almost want to hang on to it and "keep the family together"!
