In an effort to feature more makeup products here, I give you a foundation review! I think once more people are vaccinated and we can all think about going into a physical workplace unmasked the makeup reviews will follow, but for now skincare will be the main component here. I almost declined testing out Sephora's newest Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation because of my lack of foundation-wearing, but I love Sephora Collection products and have rarely been disappointed by anything they come out with. I also figured that at some point in the next two years, I WILL be wearing foundation again (I miss it!) and haven't tested out a new one since last year so it was indeed time to try something new!
I did find the coverage to be more intense than I would like, but it truly felt weightless on my skin. I have quite a bit of redness around my nose and I was able to go in multiple times without my foundation looking cakey. Once I set everything with setting powder, this foundation easily lasted the 12 hours I had it on, BUT my only testing conditions were at home while I had days off just running errands and doing things around the house. I find that foundations wear a bit differently when I am at work because there are multiple temperatures to contend with from an AC'd environment to being under lights to then going outside for lunch. When the time comes where we can go unmasked again, I will have to revise my review, but for now my home environment will have to do!
Full Face of Foundation with Blush and Setting Powder
Final verdict: I really enjoyed this foundation! Even though it was heavier coverage than I normally wear, I barely had to put any product on for it to give me a flawless looking face. It also didn't break down around the oilier areas around my nose and chin after a whole day of wear. The formula spreads out fairly thinly allowing for that buildability and feeling of weightlessness on the skin and at $25, this performs very much like its high end counterparts and its foundations like this that make my wonder why I would ever spend $50+ on any foundation!
