SKINCARE | New MaskerAide Rosy Dreams Hydrating Sleeping Mask

If you have been following me for awhile, you will know that I am a very big MaskerAide fan! I first fell in love with this Toronto-based company about 10 years ago after trying out their All Nighter Sheet Mask so I always look forward to whenever they have new products. Last month, MaskerAide released their brand new Rosy Dreams Hydrating Sleeping Mask and all I could say was "Yes, please!"

While the main product description describes this vegan sleeping mask as a hydrating formula of rose and jasmine to calm and recharge skin, there are a host of other wonderful ingredients that are packed into each one-use stick like brightening niacinamide, oat extract, Japanese seaweed, lavender flower extract, Eclipta prostrata extract (antioxidant and skin calming properties) and hyaluronic acid just to name a few! This is a mask for all skin types and skincare concerns like: dullness, dark spots, dryness and uneven skin tone. So, basically everything people are concerned about to varying degrees! I know that dullness and dryness are always my main concerns in addition fine lines, but good hydration can take care of most of that.

The Rosy Dreams mask comes individually packaged for travel-friendliness though I do wish it came in a jar or tube just to cut down on waste. If you are just wanting to try this mask, the 3 pack is perfect for $8! Even though it says that each pack is one use, depending on the size of your face or how much hydration you need, I have been able to have one individual "stick" lasts me three uses! If you love the mask, go for the gold with the 12 pack and then use the pretty packaging for makeup brushes or pens/pencils!

The consistency is a thick, clear and very spreadable jelly texture and I find that a little goes a very long way! There isn't much of a scent which surprised me a bit, but I suppose is expected if this is a mask to be used by sensitive skin types. I use about a third of the pack after sheet masking and the finish remains slightly tacky when I use a sheet mask, but dries down smooth with other skincare (I have tested using this with my morning skincare routine). The important thing to note is that I have VERY radiant looking skin when I wash it off in the mornings! I noticed that the redness in my cheeks had been diminished and my skin tone looked very even. Sleeping masks make me feel so much like Sleeping Beauty because I love waking up to fresh skin!

Final verdict: Solid sleeping mask that did what it claimed to do in terms of calming and revitalizing! Maybe one day there will be packaging that is recyclable, but I do like this new mask and recommend it to anyone looking for a no fuss sleeping mask/extra hydrating moisturizer that calms and brightens in one night's sleep!
