Vichy's Mineral 89 has been one of my favourite products for the last two years and at first I didn't understand the hype or how it could fit into my skincare routine, but after going through a bottle and seeing how easy it was to fit into a routine solely as a serum or a booster, I knew Mineral 89 and I were meant to be friends forever. I will start today's Sheet Mask Sunday post by saying that I should have gotten this Mineral 89 Fortifying Recovery Mask when I first saw it and just given in to my sheet mask desires because it was a limited edition product. This mask combined two skincare loves and performed just like I hoped it would!
Made with 89% mineralizing water and hyaluronic acid, this tissue mask works to reinforce the skin barrier and instantly replump, smooth and hydrate skin for 24 hours. If you enjoy the effects of Mineral 89, imagine drenching the most perfectly fitting sheet mask in that goodness and just letting it soak into your skin!
To ensure maximal freshness, this Vichy sheet mask employs the double compartment packaging where you need to fold over the packaging to *POP* the essence side to soak the actual micro-algae fiber mask. There is a little clear window for you to see how soaked your mask is and from experience, take your time with making sure all of that essence has migrated to the other side! There is nothing worse than dry mask patches!
Mask Summary:
Price: I think $12.99 CDN?
Skin Concerns: Environmental stress, dullness, dryness
Scent: None
Essence Type: Clear, viscous light gel
Duration: 10 minutes (I did 25 because 10 minutes is nothing!)
Thickness: Thin, but not the thinnest I’ve tried. Not a bad thing in this case since the fit was so good.
Mask Fit: PERFECT
Tackiness: Light
Hydration: Good, just used a light sleeping mask (Ativo Glacial Overnight Mask) to seal in moisture.
Other notes: N/A
Though this sheet mask is gone, you can find Mineral 89 at www.vichy.ca or at Vichy counters.
