SHEET MASK | Garnier Replumping, Brightening and Balancing Serum Masks

I have been keeping a close eye on Garnier as over the last few years, they have released some very cool skincare products with my favourites being from their Green Labs collection! The Pinea-C Brightening Serum Cream SPF 30 (review here) remains one of my most favourite products and when I saw on Amazon that sheet masks had been added to the Green Labs repertoire, I bought all three as I had not seen them in my local London Drugs yet!

Garnier Serum Mask Review
Purchased by me

These new serum masks go by the tag line of "more than a mask...it's a serum mask!", but how I have come to view sheet masks over the last four years that I have been intensely using them, is as a serum/occasional moisturizer. I do still use "serum serums" like niacinamide or hyaluronic acid and apply them first before applying my sheet mask and I alter my serum choice based on what sheet mask I plan on using in my routine. All three of these masks use a vegan formula and contain fairly decent concentrations of key ingredients. What is interesting about these new Garnier Serum Masks are the 5 minute results! That's honestly no time at all and for someone like myself who truly values her sheet mask time, maybe a little TOO short!

Replumping Hyalu-Melon

Garnier Serum Mask Review

This was the most hydrating mask and contains 1% hyaluronic acid, aloe and watermelon extract for dry and dehydrated skin. This mask was quite sticky and took some time to absorb which there is a warning for on the back of the packaging!

Garnier Serum Mask Review

Mask Summary:

Price: $3.99 CDN

Skin concerns: Dehydration and skin texture

Scent: Floral watermelon

Essence Type: Sticky, viscous and clear

Duration: Apparently 5, but I left on for 15 minutes. It gets a bit dry after 15 minutes.

Thickness: Thin

Mask Fit: A little wrinkly around the chin, but I think it would have fit better if the mask was more soaked in essence.

Tackiness: So so light considering how sticky the essence was!

Hydration: You will need a light moisturizer if you have dry/normal skin

Other notes: I thought it would be more hydrating for my skin since the essence was so sticky, but once it dried down, I felt like I needed more moisture.

Pinea-C Brightening

Garnier Serum Mask Review

Oddly enough, THIS mask was the one that I found MOST hydrating and my skin was literally glowing like crazy when I removed it after 15 minutes! This mask contains a 1% concentration of vitamin C in the form of ascorbyl glucoside, a stable form of vitamin C that has been combined with glucose and has been shown to have longer lasting results as the body breaks down this molecule into pure ascorbic acid.

Garnier Serum Mask Review

Mask Summary (Pinea-C):

Price: $3.99 CDN

Skin concerns: Dull and tired skin

Scent: Floral pineapple

Essence Type: Sticky, viscous and clear

Duration: Apparently 5, but I left on for 15 minutes

Thickness: Thin

Mask Fit: A little wrinkly around the chin, but I think it would have fit better if the mask was more soaked in essence.

Tackiness: Light considering how sticky the essence was, but tackier than the Hyalu mask.

Hydration: I did not feel the need for additional moisturizer.

Other notes: My skin looked brighter and glowy!

Kale-B Balancing

Garnier Serum Mask Review

I was hesitant to pick up this mask as well as it is targeted at combination/oily skin, but then I saw the 2% niacinamide and thought that maybe it was worth a shot! For me, this is most definitely a summer mask or one for more humid weather because it is slightly mattifying and not tacky or sticky in the slightest with a very fast dry down. There is also the presence of a kale which is known to be detoxifying and a source of antioxidants. Surprisingly, I quite liked this mask as my skin looked so flawless and filtered after I removed the mask and the fact that I could still apply moisturizer and a facial oil after was quite nice! I personally enjoy completing the rest of my skincare routine with moisturizer and facial oil so I can seem myself picking this mask up in the future!

Final verdict: I enjoyed these masks! I loved the packaging and though the fit of the mask wasn't the best, I didn't hate it and still think they did the job! My favourite two masks would be the Hyalu Melon and Kale-B as I saw visible results in my skin after using them!
