SHEET MASK | Neogen Pink Cactus Liftmax Knit Mask

Purchased by me

I have mentioned numerous times that my goal is to eventually blog about every cool sheet mask that I have picked up over the last 5 years and I was very much on track to do it last summer until Hugo died. I took a break, but when I tried to get back that same energy, boy was it hard. It has been been 5 months and that motivation and energy I had before has been elusive, but I have not stopped trying! I look at my collection of masks and I'm like "These are so cool! I have to let everyone know about them!" With #LunarJanuary, I am seeing what I can get done and not beating myself up about it if I can't pump out 20 posts this month (I have to do 14 more so not sure if that's doable with how busy I will be next week!). One of the sheet masks that has been on my list to share with you all is an oldie, but SUCH a goodie!

The Neogen Pink Cactus Liftmax Knit Mask (Liftmax Knit Mask...say that 3x fast!) is a special one because it is a mask that includes the much neglected neck area! It is also made of this thick knit fabric that can hold up to a whopping 60mL of essence! Usually sheet masks hover between 20-30mL of essence in the package, but the mask itself doesn't necessarily hold the same amount. This mask does and you can feel it because when you take it out of the package, it is HEAVY.

In terms of ingredients, this mask is for some seriously dry skin that is also in need of a lift and elasticity boost as its thick cream essence contains brightening niacinamide, peptides, ceramides, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, seaweed and pink cactus extract.

The mask material is very soft and plush with slits in areas where there is a contour or fold in the skin like along the nose and where your face meets the neck. In terms of comfort, having your neck included doesn't feel the best as it is very wet so best to have your hair up (I didn't think about that beforehand) and to wear a tank top as there will be essence all over your neck and chest which can be messy.

Neogen Pink Cactus Liftmax Knit Mask

Mask Summary:

Price:
I paid about $10 CDN for one

Skin concerns: Lifting and dryness

Scent: Slightly citrus

Essence Type: Thick cream

Duration: 20 minutes, but I was able to wear it for an hour!

Thickness: Thick, but needs to be to hold the thick cream essence.

Mask Fit: Good with slits where there are curves on the face and neck. The neck piece can come off over time, but that's about it.

Tackiness: Skin feels tacky, but not in a heavy way.

Hydration: Very intense so no moisturizer needed.

Other notes: There was so much essence left in the mask even after an hour that I squeezed out probably 20mL of essence from the mask which I put back in the mask packaging to use as moisturizer for later!

Final verdict: This mask should only be reserved for the driest of skin as the hydration level is very intense and does leave the skin feeling tacky. My skin looked glowy for about 4 hours before I went to bed and when I woke up, it looked super bright so the results are great. It's like a serum, moisturizer and sleeping mask all in one and is what I would consider a "treatment sheet mask" as I do wear it for much longer than a conventional sheet mask. This mask looks impossible to find now which is kind of sad, but Neogen does have a number of great sheet masks so while I don't see anything like this anymore, I'm sure they have one that brightens and hydrates just as well as this one.

You can find Neogen at various online retailers. I get my Neogen products from YesStyle!
