SHEET MASK | Dr.Jart Cryo Rubber with Brightening Vitamin C

Happy New Year and Happy first #SheetMaskSunday of 2023! I had intended on using this mask two weeks ago, but when the temperatures went into the double digit negatives, I held off as the Dr. Jart Cryo Rubber masks lower the skin's temperature and I didn't want that! Normally, I embrace the coolness, but the week before Christmas was just too cold for my face to handle! 

What makes this mask special? Other than the super cooling rubber material this mask is made of, this mask comes with a concentrated brightening ampoule as the first step which contains niacinamide, ascorbic acid and a prebiotics complex. The ampoule is thick and creamy and almost feels like a moisturizer with more than enough in the packet for the face, neck and décolleté. It looks like candy so don't eat it!     

The mask comes in two parts and the rubber material is very "clingy" so overall the fit is very good and will not slide off even if you are puttering around the house which is what I always do. I can never really truly sit in one place and relax though having a sheet mask on does tell me body that we are going to sleep soon!

Thickness: Thick because it's rubber, but felt perfect for its purposes. 

Mask Fit: With this type of material, as long as I can sit up without the mask falling off my face, I am happy! I only had to pull up the bottom half of the mask once in the time I wore it. 

Tackiness: None, but you do need to wait about 30 minutes upon removal for the ampoule to absorb.

Hydration: Oooh, really nice! No moisturizer needed!

Final verdict: I have said in previous reviews for the Cryo Rubber masks that they are indeed quite the treat, but I do enjoy using them. I love the texture of the ampoule and how supple my skin feels afterward. It also looks brighter because of the cooling effect of the rubber and I am sure with repeated use, the Vitamin C and niacinamide will have their long term effects, but realistically, I can't imagine someone doing a $19, 40 minutes mask every week so if anything, this mask is more likely to be complementary to your existing Vitamin C skincare.
