MAKEUP LOOK | Temporarily Dark Eyebrows and NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in "Oh, Put It On"

I got a bit antsy during my eyebrow microblading recovery time and on Day 5 decided to embrace my temporarily darker brows and experiment with some deliciously DARK lip colours. My eyebrows have lightened up and healed now so you will be hearing all about my last two weeks this weekend!

Non-traditional lip colours are THE thing right now and when NYX decided to release a boatload of shades that are normally on your eyelids or in a box of crayons, I was both excited at the prospect of trying something outside my comfort zone and terrified that I wouldn't have the confidence to pull it off. I still float towards the latter when I'm not at home, but this little experiment was a ton of fun to try! Plus, I matched my nails!   

Just like the name of the product indicates, "Oh, Put It On"* is an incredibly pigmented cream lipstick. This dries matte and is actually a very dark purple shade, not black which I originally thought. I'm not really sure what the name of this colour is REALLY referring to, but I will keep my mind out of the gutter and assume it refers to putting on lipstick! This collection has a TON of otherworldly shades that you WILL find a use for! Who doesn't need a sky blue lip colour?!

Wear time was very good as matte finishes tend to be though application to get those crisp corners was a challenge with this doe foot applicator. I always find the corners of my mouth the most difficult to maneuver and with such a dark colour, precision is key. I don't know how people can swatch so cleanly! I definitely had to take out my concealer to give my lips a cleaner edge, but it was well worth it!

Final verdict: I'm sold. These Liquid Suedes are the coolest thing ever. If you're looking to have some fun with crazier lip colours, look no further than these guys!
