MAKEUP | Diorblush Light and Contour Sculpting Stick Duo Review with Swatches

As much as I am over the whole highlighting and contouring trend, I still have a ridiculous collection of products that will help me to achieve the bone structure of a Kardashian. Highlighting, I can manage, but contouring still has me scared so I always look for TOTAL blendability in a product so that I don't end up looking foolish instead of fierce. The Diorblush Light and Contour Sculpting Sticks ($48.00 CDN) from this Fall's Skyline collection were so easy to use that even if I made a mistake, wiping off my whole face wasn't necessary!

I love anything packaged like a chubby sticks, so right away I was a fan of the packaging. I received two of the three shades offered (002* and 003*) with 001 being the lightest.

The highlight end of 003 got smushed in transit so here is the virgin 002 in its shiny untouched goodness.

This is a cream to powder consistency that blends out so easily and smoothly that even a total contouring mess like myself can figure out how to use it. Though I preferred the darker highlight shade on the 003, I liked the contour shade of 002. At first swatch, these are mega-pigmented, but they do blend out nicely to a comfortable, more natural colour.

It's so strange, but I feel like the highlight shades should be swapped as the highlight from 002 is rose gold and pairs well with the more orange-brown contour of 003.

Blending really went a long way with the contour shades and had such a smooth, powdery texture that felt like the product was melting as it was gliding across the skin. Ah, it was so nice!

Final verdict: I had a good deal of fun with these sculpting sticks and even ventured out of my safe little cave to use 002 in my most recent makeup look (here). They blend easily with just the touch of the fingers and is a nice compact size to take on the go. If you are into body contouring, this would probably be easier to use as well. I can only imagine how much easier "boob contouring" would be! Hmmm, maybe I will try it out at an upcoming holiday party!

Available at all Dior counters, but get them while they are still here as these are limited edition!
