When we caught a preview of the Lise Watier Glam Celebration collection at the London Drugs Beauty Event back in October, we were all very excited about the amount of shimmer that was coming our way!
The Havana Trio Highlighter* ($46.00 CDN) is not part of the Glam Celebration collection, but when it comes to the holidays, the highlight game be strong! This trio includes three shades of highlighter for any skin tone. The texture of these isn't the softest, but the payoff is quite good.
Lise Watier always does a great eyeshadow palette with all of their seasonal collections and the Smokey Nudes 12 Colour Eyeshadow Palette* ($65.00 CDN) is a hefty one! The palette contains 6 matte and 6 shimmery shades with all of the shades leaning more towards the creation of a smokey eye or party look.
I understand the need for matte shades, but I still love the shimmery shades more so having half a palette with mattes isn't something I would go for especially for $65. Swatches were decent for matte shadows, but were not a smooth as the shimmers.
Out of the shimmers, the darker shades swatched best with the blue (Nocturne) and iridescent grey/purple (Dance Floor) being my favourite! These would look fantastic in a holiday or NYE look!
One of my favourite pieces turned out to be the Rouge Intense Supreme Glam Celebration lipsticks. I didn't think much of either shade, but once I wore each one I realized how pretty they were on! I received the shades Grace*, a cherry red creme, and Sophia*, a classically vampy purple ($27.00 CDN). The lipstick case is magnetic, which I have always felt was a truly luxurious touch, and the formula is hydrating, rich and creamy and contains Lise Watier's feature ingredient -Labrador Tea Extract. I will definitely be wearing these well after the holiday season!
Note: Collection contains a third shade named "Naomi".
Each Lise Watier collection always contains an Eye Shine Pencil or two and the one I have is in the shade Black Star* ($23.00 CDN) which is a kohl black liner with a hint of silver glitter in it. It was barely imperceptible on camera hence the lack of swatch. Very pigmented though like most of the Eye Shines and great on the waterline too because they do not budge and I often have to go in a second time with a cotton bud to fully remove it.
Note: Eye Shine Pencil in Blue Star is also available.
I could have gone a little more smokey with this look, but I will be honest that amidst all of this holiday craziness, I haven't had the time that I would have liked to play with things properly. I was actually on my way to the mall to do some Christmas shopping with my husband when I did this look so I really didn't feel like going glam for fear of judgement!

I am missing some pieces from this collection including the 24K Glam Rouge a Levres Lipstick, Glam Celebration Duo Blush and Glam Celebration pigments, but I saw that a few London Drugs locations still have a few of these pieces in store though I think the lipstick is really gone.
Overall, I think the collection is nice, but I thought the eyeshadow palette was expensive in comparison to the pricing of their previous palettes as I wasn't expecting it to be more than $50. The lipsticks were great ad I know that the pigments are REALLY good because I swatched them at the LD event. It definitely lives up to its "glam" name and though this collection isn't an everyday one, it's definitely one for a special occasion.
