This time of the month is what I think of as the "sweet spot" of Christmas where we still like the holiday music that is now playing in every store and there is still ample amounts of time to get things done and wrap up unfinished projects and goals before the year is out. Working in retail and especially the luxury retail sector means that reaching out to clients is the only name of the game until Dec.24th so I am waiting for the holidays to hit me like a ton of bricks around next week as it always does. Like on my wedding day, I am trying to stay "present" and calm so that I can think logically if a staff member or client has a problem as well as enjoy the season where clients shake your hands and wish you all the best for the New Year!

Today's manicure is inspired by @nailart_bygracie whose wintery trees made me want to attempt this manicure for myself as I have never been one to draw Santas and reindeer, but I probably will at some point this month just so I have at least one cheesy Christmas manicure in the books! This manicure took no time at all to do and only involves one polish and two shades of acrylic paint!
I used three coats of Essence Wild White Ways* and then black and white acrylic paint and small nail art brush for the trees. I mixed the white and black to get the shades of grey I wanted to create depth in the wintery forest and then dotted on some falling snow in white acrylic paint. Cover it all up with a juicy top coat and you are done! What's nice is that when it comes to drawing this type of tree, you can be pretty messy as long as you get the overall triangular shape of the tree in there!
