HOLIDAY | Goodies from the Sephora Collection

MERRY CHRISTMAS! If you are a beauty lover, I am sure you have already shopped at Sephora three times over in the last month, but if you are still needing a few gift ideas, the Sephora Collection never disappoints and it is possible that I may have stocked up on a few of these for next year! It also may or may not have been the sheet masks LOL!

Sephora's makeup collection has become one of my favourites to stalk for cheaper versions of more luxury brands with my FAVOURITE Sephora Collection product being the #Lipstories lipsticks which was my first review of 2018 because I could not WAIT to get it up to share with you! I have also selected a couple of other standout products I have used that I know any beauty lover would be excited to have!

Sephora Midnight Wishes Collection

This limited edition Mighty Minis Brush, Sponge and Cleaner Set* is now currently on sale for just $23 and has all of my favourite makeup tools in one spot! While I am still loving the Ativo Solid Brush Cleanser in terms of value, the performance of the Sephora Brush Cleaner is the same and amazing at cleaning my brushes without drying them out. Solid brush cleaners also last longer than liquid ones and this mini version will last you a year if you are a more "intermittent" brush cleaner like myself! It also comes with a PRO Mini Airbrush in #55.5 (LOVE) and a makeup sponge which I find no different than the much more expensive Beauty Blender. Though the description raves about the glitter makeup pouch as storage, I actually found the plastic quite stiff so I have removed everything and tossed the bag...sad I know. At least the plastic is #1 recyclable.

The Midnight Wishes Eyeshadow Palette*, though a little cumbersome does have 16 beautifully pigmented, mostly shimmery shadows embossed with small stars that I am sure will add a twinkle to anyone's eye! Though I wish the palette wasn't quite as long and narrow, I do love the more neutral shade assortment with touches of sugar plum. I have done a few swatches just to get a sense of pigmentation, but I have not worn them on my actual eyelids yet. Maybe later today I will experiment as I am spending Christmas Day on my own (don't feel badly for me though because I work in retail and have been around people for most of the last month!).

I am REALLY feelin' THIS side of the palette! The shimmers are just calling to me!

At the height of the lip cream lipstick phase, I had been using both luxury and drugstore level products and decided to give the Sephora Collection a try during one of the VIB Rouge events. T'was a good choice and is one of the most pigmented and comfortable lip creams I own that has a matte finish. This set of six bestselling Cream Lip Stains* is AWESOME at the current sale price of $25 and has a bit of everything in it though the palest nude is a wee bit too pale on me.

I won't talk too much about the Midnight Kisses #Lipstories Lipstick Set* because they were already fantastic at $10 a pop and now for FULL SIZES of six, this set is currently on sale for just $24! I mean, holy crap! Housed in cardboard and with unique designs on each one, this assortment contains mattes, creams, shines and metallics. There are some classic shades and some NOT so classic shades with one of them being one I own already! I adore these lipsticks and still use my more neutral shade of "Oui!" quite a bit for work or when I feel like playing it safe.

Sorry I have so much #Lipstories picture porn! I just love these lipsticks so much and could not stop taking photos of these babies!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Day wherever you are and since I am taking it easy today, I will finally be catching up on my fellow bloggers' posts and being a comment fiend since it looks like blogs are dying in favour of Instagram. I will forever be a moldy oldie and continue to write my little heart out and support those who do! Those of you who read Cosmetic Proof, thank you thank you!
