Ah, the first set of nails for 2019! In the spirit of making resolutions, the theme for #CBBxManiMonday for the rest of this month is "Nails I Don't Do" so be prepared to see some truly crazy things (*dramatic pause*) from us! I had planned on doing a different set of nails to start off this challenge, but Marie Kondo got the best of my husband and I at 9pm last night and by the time we had finished, it was far too late to do anything that required significant dry time. I did think of something that was quick to do for this challenge and it was MATTE NAILS. I have never been a fan of them and while I have done them on occasion for effect, I rarely buy a matte nail polish and keep it that way so here is it is - totally matte - from the Sinful Colors x Kylie Jenner Denim & Bling Collection is the swatch "Kobalt"!

This collection came out at the height of Kyliemania in 2016 and though I am not a diehard Kylie fan, there is something utterly fascinating about her so I understand why people find her interesting. Her beauty collaborations and the Vogue GRWM video made me believe she actually knew what she was doing when it came to makeup so even now a part of me wants a Kylie Lip Kit.
Knowing that this colour was the shade of a perfect blue jean, I suddenly remembered at 1am that I picked these zipper water decals from Born Pretty eons ago and decided that THIS was the opportunity to try them out! Yes, I may have used a shiny top coat to seal in the decal, but hey at least you got to see this polish in its naturally matte state!
