*gleeful laughter* Lancome has a new sheet mask and I am freakin' excited! This is a double wrap cream-based mask with 20g of moisturizer that promises to firm, hydrate and add long-lasting radiance to the skin. While this type of mask is fairly new in the North American market, as always the Asian market has done it before but I will say that it isn't done very often and is actually one of the most luxurious ways to sheet mask!

The featured ingredient for the Rénergie line is linseed extract which is supposed to make skin feel firmer and look more radiant, but as it is at the 50% mark, I'm really not sure how much of an effect it will have on my skin. What IS probably doing a good job at hydration is the shea butter and dimethicone to seal in all the moisture! There is also vitamin C as the 10th ingredient which is kind of cool as I was not expecting to see a brightening ingredient like this in a relatively high concentration!
Oh, this mask is GORGEOUS! I didn't know there would be a pattern on it and it was a very pleasant surprise! The feel of this mask is very similar to the Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask with a few extra slits in the chin and around the eyes for the Lancome mask.
The cream is all on this side of the mask so there isn't a mess of product all over your hands when you pull both parts of the mask out of the packet.
Mask Summary:
Price: $29 CDN (on the Lancome and Hudson's Bay websites, but $20 CDN on Sephora?)
Scent: Creamy and honestly reminds me so much of the scent of the classic Nivea cream in a tin!
Essence Type: Thick and creamy
Duration: 20 min
Thickness: Medium, but perfect for this style of cream wrap mask and cannot be compared to regular sheet mask.
Mask Fit: Two parts makes the mask fit well especially around my chin and there was slight lifting at the edges of the mask over time, but the main part of the mask stayed anchored to my skin.
Tackiness: None
Hydration: Very good with skin feeling a bit dewy like when you come out of a facial, BUT it does pill if you put any other products on top or rub too hard so try not to apply anything else upon removal!
Other notes: The mask comes with a plastic film protecting each piece which is peeled off. When you peel this off, some of the cream essence will get stuck to the protective film so make sure you scrape it off and apply this to your skin first! Make sure you don't waste any of this!
Final verdict: This mask did pill quite a bit, but it was because I made the mistake of pressing in a few drops of facial oil a couple of hours after I had removed the mask when in reality, I should have just left my skin alone. This mask is meant to be a moisturizer and I messed with it! I know I have this rule about no dimethicone, but I enjoyed the experience of this mask so much that I would splurge on one more at the next VIB sale just to try it one more time before I decide whether I should just spring for the 5 pack to keep on hand. At almost $30 for a single use, this is a massive treat so save this for the night before a special occasion because it was incredibly soothing and hydrating. My skin even felt a little cool from the cream and it was just...OMG so lovely. Big hearts for the overall experience of this sheet mask and I hope you all get a chance to experience it or maybe I'll take care of that for you once I have my job back ;-)
