It's a hot one tonight with Vancouver being at over 30 degrees today and humid which I know is fairly common out East and in Asia, but here it's not the norm and most houses and apartments do not have air conditioning so it can get really sticky and uncomfortable. I even had a cold shower and now I'm just as hot as I was before so I have a feeling that sleep will not be something I will have a lot of tonight, but thankfully it will cool down later on in the week. I do try to enjoy Vancouver summers as we often get rain most of the year, but feeling hot just makes me feel so unproductive and lazy and I think THAT'S what I don't like about hot weather. Ooh, and as I type this, there is now thunder!
Some polishes PR gifted
Even though it has been so warm, the handwashing has not stopped so I apologize for the dry cuticles as they didn't look this dry from a normal distance. I also have been having some very dry nails again so I am trying out a new nail treatment from Ella + Mila that has had some good reviews. I ended up having my pointer nail break so that's why I am currently sporting rounded, shorter nails until I can grow my babies back this week!
I am also trying out a new brand this week called Maison Creme de la Creme which specializes in bespoke makeup! I will be doing a full review of their products next week, but because they also make nail polish, I figured a #CBBxManiMonday would be a great introduction to this Alberta-based brand! They sent me a beautiful creamy nude in the shade "Truffle" that was opaque in two coats and had a nice shiny finish so I hope to try more of their polishes in the future! I really wanted to dress this polish up with something bright to stick with our "Summer Lingo" theme so I dug up my neons and an old geometric style nail vinyl that Born Pretty had sent. The lines aren't as crisp as I would have liked, but it'll do. I'm too hot to care.
