SHEET MASK | Mediheal Line Friends Edition

I have a feeling that by now, a large portion of you have seen this rabbit, bear and chick in various places. Originally developed for use as stickers or emojis for the messaging app LINE, Cony (rabbit), Brown (bear) and Sally (chick) now have a following of their own similar to Hello Kitty and the Sanrio gang. Though I consider myself fairly "Canadianized", I will admit that I have sought out LINE friends paraphernalia like cell phone cases and household accessories. When I first picked up the Mediheal Line Friends edition of their bestselling sheet masks, I just thought the packaging was cute and did not know about the characters. I thought this packaging was limited edition, but I have seen it sold in-store and online with updated expiration dates so it looks like you can get them anytime!

 Purchased by me

After using a number of Mediheal masks now, I think they are one of the coolest and affordable brands for sheet masks. They are usually better than the $10+ sheet masks sold in the North American market (but always made in Korea) and for a fraction of the price. There is always some cool skintertainment factor (like fun characters on the masks!) and I never worry about the quality of the mask because there hasn't been one that has disappointed me yet! All four of the masks were fairly similar in terms of fit as they all used a thin and silk-like fitted cellulose sheet. The results were also somewhat similar with one of the masks having a slightly different result.

E.G.T Timetox Ampoule Mask

This mask contains epidermal growth factor, peptides and astaxanthin to provide an intensive firming and skin elasticity treatment. I reviewed this mask three years ago (I cannot believe it has been that long!) so I will not go into much more detail other than to say it was still a decent sheet mask!

Mask Summary (E.G.T Timetox Ampoule Mask):

Price: I paid about $20 for a box of 10? I think on their own these masks are range from $3-4 each.
Skin concerns: Sagging and lack of elasticity and firmness
Scent: Floral
Essence Type: Clear with medium viscosity
Duration: 20 min
Thickness: Thin
Mask Fit: Good! The mask has lots of slits so you can pull and adjust to ensure the perfect fit.
Tackiness: Very light
Hydration: Good! Only eye cream and two drops of facial oil used.
Other notes: Cute bear! In my previous review, I had said that I wasn't a fan of the way the mask was short on the forehead and longer on the sides of the face, but this time around I didn't seem too bothered by it.

I.P.I Timetox Ampoule Mask

This sheet mask is infused with ascorbyl glucoside (stable form of Vit C fused with glucose), mulberry extract and arbutin to make the skin look radiant along with hydrolyzed collagen and hyaluronic acid for moisture and hydration. This was the mask where I noticed a difference upon removal!

P.D.F A.C. Dressing Ampoule Mask

This mask is the one you use for "decongesting" the skin as it contains salicylic acid for clearing out pores and Portulaca oleracea extract (commonly known as purslane) and cica for soothing. Purslane is also known for its potent antioxidant abilities and can even be cooked. Not bad for a common weed!

Final verdict: My favourite mask of the group was the I.P.I Lightmax or the pink one! The glow to my skin was pretty much instant and I felt instantly refreshed which is something that I seem to be prioritizing in the hot weather! The other three masks were good on hydration, but other than that, I didn't see much of a difference between them.

You can find the Mediheal Line Friends Sheet Masks at various Asian e-tailers like YesStyle.com and right now, these masks are available at Miniso!
