SHEET MASK | Kiehls Instant Renewal Concentrate Mask

It has been REALLY hard to write this past week. I had done my best to mentally prepare myself for a busy week I knew was coming and though I feel I survived with flying colours, I was putting in a few longer days to make sure I wasn't overwhelmed the next day which has left me feeling exhausted at the idea of being productive this weekend (I have Sunday/Mondays off). Combined with the torrential rain Vancouver has had the last week, I have just been feeling sleepy by the time I make it home from work so I have been a bit lazy with the blogging, BUT hopefully you have all been enjoying my Instagram content as I try to have exclusive content there (like this photo of the most epic bath bomb from Jojo's Bath Bombs)!

While I have been good about consistently posting every Monday for #CBBxManiMonday, Sundays were always a bit up in the air until Quarantine when I started doing #SheetMaskSunday which has now continued as my work schedule has me off on this day making it easier to schedule postings. I don't know how long this will continue, but for now I am loving it! Today's mask is a neat one from a well-known brand - the Kiehl's Instant Renewal Concentrate Mask!

Kiehls Instant Renewal Concentrate Mask

This is a two piece coconut hydrogel mask infused with coconut fruit extract and three plant-derived cold-pressed Amazonian oils: Copaiba Resin Oil, Pracaxi Oil and Andiroba Oil all with multiple skin benefits from hydration to skin-healing. I did not realize that the mask itself would be golden in colour so when I came across some YouTube videos for reviews of this mask, I was surprised!

Mask Summary:

Price: $45/Box of 4
Skin concerns: Dryness and uneven texture
Scent: None
Essence Type: Clear, watery
Duration: The package says 10 minutes, but I did 25 minutes no problem.
Thickness: Thinner than typical hydrogel, but that's ok because it probably allowed the mask to stay on better.
Mask Fit: Pretty good. Both parts stayed on the whole time and I didn't have to lie down to keep the mask in place.
Tackiness: Zero
Hydration: Good and I sealed it all in with a very light moisturizer. The instructions say that all you will need is a few drops of Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate which I can say is wonderful!
Other notes: My skin looked brighter instantly!

Final verdict: I liked this mask more than I thought I would! I purchased a box of these over a year ago and kept meaning to use and showcase them for all of you as I try to feature more North American sheet masks that are easily accessible in Canada (note that these masks are made in Korea). The pricing of these masks is on the more luxe side, but I was quite happy with the results especially with how much brighter my skin looked after a 25 minute treatment!
