The Sephora house collection used to be something I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to since there are SO MANY other brands to look at in every Sephora store. It’s incredibly overwhelming and only once I started being in the Sephora environment more did I realize how many incredibly cool gadgets and gizmos the Sephora Collection had. Rose gold has yet to be a passing trend so for the Spring season, Sephora has released a number of new items including the uber cute travel-sized Look Color in the Eye Brush Capsule*($28.00 CDN). This has both spring appropriate candy pastel coloured brush handles and comes with a rose gold-coloured case and ferrules.
There are a total of 5 eye shadow brushes that will allow you to smudge, blend and line for the perfect eye look. The rose gold case is very lightweight and slender making it an ideal travel option (is it just me, or does this ALSO seem to be a very stylish tampon carrier?)
The bristles are synthetic and feel quite soft on the eyes with my favourite being the tiny smudge and liner brushes. The brush handles are coloured plastic which makes the brushes feel incredibly lightweight.
Final Verdict: I never thought to look to Sephora for brushes, but now that I have started playing around with eye makeup more, I have discovered an inherent need to have a different brush for every stroke or pat of eyeshadow. I love each brush in this kit and can create most looks with all five. I would have liked a fluffy, pointed blending brush since this is how I tend to define my crease, but the slanted brush did the job just fine. I know that true makeup brush connoisseurs would probably balk at brushes like these, but as a makeup brush hoarder myself, these brushes pickup the right amount of product and apply without any fallout (I tested these out on the UD palettes) which fill out all of my makeup brush criteria. I’m sold.
