Formulated with "dual collagen" to improve skin's elasicity, this is a single use 2 piece sheet mask that uses foil to prevent premature evaporation allowing the essence to fully sink into the skin. Sounds a bit crazy, right? Hugo just thinks it's scary.
I love the fact that the mask comes in two parts for better adhesion and fit. The chin is always the tell tale sign of a good mask and I am happy to report that even though there were some wrinkles, the chin of this mask stayed on for the full 15 minutes this mask should have been on!
I have put in bold below the "double collagen" in the ingredients list and what I can gather is that generally, hydrolyzed collagen is used in skincare as a moisturizer and skin conditioner which is the case with this mask. In addition to the hydrolyzed collagen, there is another form of collagen called "desamido collagen" which is the result of extraction procedure from a larger protein that allows for more of the original collagen structure and functionality to be maintained. Topical application of collagen is difficult to see results from, if at all, so if this second round of collagen is supposed to help then by all means!

The "foil" isn't really foil, but feels more like wet construction paper when applied to the skin. The sheet mask must first be separated from a mesh lining that prevents the mask from sticking to itself. The foil can tear if you have long, sharp nails like me so having the lining was helpful!
Now, just pretend you are a robot and go scare your boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse!
Final verdict: I liked this mask quite a bit more than I thought I would considering how gimmicky it seemed! Scent was slightly floral and the essence left behind was non-sticky which was fantastic. I HATE sticky essences which tends to be the consistency of A LOT of sheet masks. My skin felt plump, hydrated and would be perfect for getting the day started if I wanted to apply makeup on top. The only negative I would mention is that because this mask felt more like thick paper, it seemed to dry out more quickly than a traditional sheet or hydrogel mask. By the time 15 minutes was up, so was the mask! Other than that, I would totally get this again for the novelty and for the way it made my skin feel! Did I think the double does of collagen DID anything? Probably not much, but I can't argue that my skin felt pretty amazing afterwards!
