NAILS | Purple Split Screen #ManiMonday

Wow, looking through my nail posts I do a lot of stuff with striping tape for two reasons: one, it makes me look like I've got my life together and two, it's such a quick and pretty way to put together a nail design! Today I am relishing in the CND Creative Play Sunset Bash collection and thinking of more ways to play with the shades in this collection because if you haven't seen swatches already, the shades are summer appropriate, but not neon bright. I actually find the collection quite sophisticated and wearable for any season.

This manicure is a great way to showcase two shades that you just cannot decide on so in my case, I started off with two coats each of Barefoot Bash* and Party Royally* alternating on each nail. You can of course have all of your nails be the same. I just thought it would look cool optically to have the colours switch from nail to nail.

Starting halfway down the nail, apply your second polish. The line doesn't have too be TOO straight as we are going to cover the divide with our saviour - silver striping tape! Trim your striping tape just shy of the nail edge and give it TWO coats of CND Creative Play Top Coat* so that your striping tape ain't going anywhere!

Now, you're done!
