While I missed out on going to Cosmoprof in Vegas this year, I DID stalk their Instagram to see which brand would be awarded the Trendsetter award as these are usually products that are unlike anything else in the beauty market in a particular category. This is the year of the sheet mask and though I have sheet masked on and off over the years, I really took it seriously at the start of 2018 and now I am out to try the weirdest, best and most amusing sheet masks out there including ones for anything OTHER than the face. Introducing the very first BUTT MASK!

Bawdy Beauty was founded by Sylwia Weisenberg, who is also the founder of the TONIQUE Workout Method and Dope Naturally, so it made sense that a woman with an incredible derriere would come out with a sheet mask for one of her best "ass"ets! When I reached out to Sylwia about her product and my ultimate life goals of sheet masking, she kindly sent over three butt masks to try and share with all of you because I KNOW you guys must have been as curious as I was when I saw photos of these butt masks!

In total there are currently four masks which cover most of what I think the skin on my bottom needs: moisture, firming and retexturizing.

Slap It* is a caffeine-infused, retexturizing mask which is meant to improve skin's texture, detoxify and tone your bum in 10-15 minutes.

I have not had a chance to try Shake It*, but this is supposed to sculpt and illuminate your butt cheeks so that you are beach ready!

Bite It* is for dry and dehydrated skin, which oddly enough, I actually get on my lower butt cheeks in the winter.

I took just Slap It* on my trip to Maine because I knew there would be ample opportunity to wear a bathing suit and actually use this mask on the beach, but because I was with six of my in-laws, I really didn't feel like prancing around in a butt mask for half the week. Then again, if I had Sylwia's ass, I just might!

The actual cotton sheet mask is thin, but would be considered on the thick side if the same material was used as a facial sheet mask. I believe this is because the entire sheet is essentially a print. The essence also has no fragrance aka no phthlates. It adheres to the skin fairly easily though the bottom part of the mask starts to flap around if you are standing so lying down is best!

Each mask has a tongue-in-"cheek" saying on it which made this outdoor masking session all the more fun though I didn't last long outside as the mosquitoes were particularly active the day I took photos!

Final verdict: Yes, this is a bit of a gimmicky product and I could probably just wear my existing facial sheet masks on each butt cheek and I would have roughly the same results, but other than the "fun value", I did note some interesting things about using the Slap It butt mask firstly being that the essence has zero tackiness as it is on the lighter side than traditional face mask essences. The second thing I noticed was that the skin on my bum was actually smoother for more than a day! I exfoliate my entire body regularly so the extra smooth baby's bottom was something I wasn't expecting!

I would consider this an "occasion mask" so if I knew my butt was going to be somewhat on display albeit on the beach or poolside, I would use one prior to putting on my swimsuit. As a regular thing at home? Probably not. I would also get this as a gift for a bride-to-be for her honeymoon or even wedding night (LOL!) care package! Overall, I love that this is a body positive product and will fit butt cheeks of all shapes and sizes!
