KBEAUTY | Entia No Filter Moisturizing Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

You may have noticed that over the last 4 months I have been loving sheet masks. Nay, OBSESSED with sheet masks to the point that seeing them in my house, in someone else's house, in a store makes me so happy. I know it's a bit weird, but I'm a fairly pragmatic person who doesn't get excited often and though I am sensible when it comes to most things, I have completely lost all sense of sensibility when it comes to sheet masks. It is like a beast has awoken inside of me and all it wants to do is sheet mask myself and all who come in contact with it. I have had a few people tell me that they started going through their own stash or buying sheet masks because of my #100DaysofSheetMask Challenge and that genuinely makes me SO HAPPY. There is a lot of crap going on in the world right now, but for 15-20 minutes every day, we can all relax and have happy skin. No one can argue with that!

In August, I saw a promotion for 30% off the yearly subscription service for Facetory which I debated about like crazy. Firstly, I was paying 30% with the Canadian exchange rate and secondly, were the masks I would be receiving really be worth it? Answer, YES! Now that I have had the Facetory subscription for a few months I can easily say that I have been incredibly pleased with the curation of the masks and it is now one of the things I look forward to every month!

One of the sheet masks I received in my August Seven Lux Box, which is the subscription option with a more diverse selection of masks, was the Entia No Filter Moisturizing Camera Mask. Already the packaging of this mask should win you over, but it is actually a very cool mask in terms of method of action and contents. I had never heard of this brand before, but discovered that Entia is one of the brands under the larger Kbeauty company, Coreana, yet another brand I had never heard of. Suffice it to say, Entia is not one of the more mainstream brands of sheet masks you will see so THIS is why I have REALLY been happy with the mask curation from FaceTory.

This is a two-step mask focusing on giving your skin that "needs no filter" meaning vitamin C for brightening and allantoin and sodium hyaluronate for moisture. When it comes to sheet masks, I find the purpose and goals are generally the same - brighten, hydrate, lift and occasionally detoxify. For me, the exciting part is the journey and how this is executed by a brand.

After cleansing your skin, the first step is a very cool vitamin C powder ampoule that is powder in your hands and then magically melts into a liquid once applied to the skin. I remember using a product like this before, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was!

I did the powder in sections as trying to rub all of the powder at once was a bit messy so smaller sections of skin works better. The finish it leaves on your skin is almost like a makeup primer in that it is silky and soft and nicely prepped for Step 2!

The sheet mask itself is cotton, soaking in quite a bit of essence which made the whole mask feel slightly gelatinous and luxurious. I mean, who DOESN'T want a sheet mask just soaking in essence?!

Mask Summary:

Scent: Light
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Thickness: Thin
Mask Fit: Very good!
Tackiness: Medium
Hydration: Very good!

Final verdict: Firstly, I cannot deny the packaging and fun factor of this mask so I'm sure the fact that this is shaped like a camera with rainbow Instagram colours is going to make most of us want to give it a try! As for results, there was a medium tackiness level after I removed the mask, but I was easily able to apply my facial oil and moisturizer without any pilling or sticking to my pillow. The vitamin C powder was a nice touch as well, but I don't recall having my skin look immediately brighter upon application. The hydration level of my skin was off the scale after removing the mask so if you are feeling particularly dry, this mask is quite the remedy!
