KBEAUTY | Wonjin Effect Withbee Honey Bomb Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

Whenever people ask me for my favourite sheet masks, I obviously cannot narrow it down to just one because that's insane, but I definitely have my sort of go-to Top 10, always have in the house list of masks with the first ones being my MaskerAide Detox Diva and All Nighter (sorry this is SUCH an old review, but a redo is on the way!), the Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask and the Wonjin Effect Withbee Honey Bomb Mask! I have more masks on my list to discuss next week as I feel the #100DaysofSheetMasks Challenge warrants a bit of a summary of what was best and I think I owe to you guys to go out there and try some amazing masks your skin will love!

Purchased by me

For awhile, the skincare world was really into the healing effects of honey and thankfully many of these propolis featured products are still well-loved by most and look like they are here to stay! I was first introduced to the Wonjin Effect brand by a Korean co-worker who raved about the Water Bomb 3-step sheet mask (I think a review will be coming eventually) and gave me a box to try for my birthday last year. After thoroughly enjoying that mask, I spotted another 3-step mask and after loving the honey in the Papa Recipe mask, I picked up a box of the Withbee Honey Bomb Mask from Amazon.

3-step masks are amazing for travel because you really only have to pack cleanser, toner and moisturizer if you want. I have often found that these masks can be hydrating enough to combine the serum and moisturizer step, but there are times when I apply a very light layer of moisturizer on top to "seal it all in".

After cleansing and toning comes the very first step - the Withbee Honey Milk which is kind of like your primer as it does contain silicones to even out textured skin. I love this mask so much that I am willing to overlook the silicones in the step! It smells faintly of honey, isn't the slightest bit greasy and feels VERY similar to plenty of daytime moisturizers on the market.

Withbee Honey Milk

Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, PEG-100 Stearate, Arginine, Carbomer, Chlorphenesin, Trehalose, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Sodium Hyaluronate, Honey Extract, Lactobacillus/Milk Ferment Filtrate, Saccharomyces Ferment

The Re:Effect Ampoule is your essence and there is PLENTY in this tiny packet for face and decollete! Ampoules are generally quite watery and spread easily all over the skin. They are meant to enhance the positive effects of the upcoming sheet mask and are often fairly concentrated.

The actual fit and feel of the sheet mask was fantastic feeling much like the Papa Recipe mask and was thin enough to look like skin where it is actually a challenge to see where the mask begins and my skin ends. The featured honey ingredients are in the first half of the ingredients list, a little close to the 50% mark, but still in the top half which is what most people would consider good including myself.

Mask Summary:

Scent: Faint honey
Thickness: SO THIN
Mask Fit: Perfect with no chin goatee or space around nose and eyes
Tackiness: Minimal
Hydration: Skin felt fantastic!

Final verdict: The silicones are only found in the very first step and because the fit and feel of the mask are so nice, I would happily buy this again after my box of 10 is done. There is minimal tackiness and my skin just felt so soft and smooth after use that there is no way I can say no to this feeling again! This mask is for all skin types and the honey combined with the coolness of the sheet mask even took out some of the redness in my cheeks. This is one of my all time favourite sheet masks because I truly enjoy each of the three steps, the low tackiness of the sheet mask and of course how smooth and moisturized my skin feels at the end!

You can find the Wonjin Effect Withbee Honey Bomb Mask at T&T Supermarkets in Canada, BeautyTap, Amazon and YesStyle to name a few!
