SHEET MASK | Dr. Jart Pore Remedy Purifying Mud Mask

I am all about the Dr. Jart love this week as here we are with another sheet mask from this iconic Korean brand! As we move into humid, sticky and warmer weather (we finally hit 20 degrees last week!), I find myself wanting to blot oil off myself every few hours or powder my T-zone. While I am not a huge fan of mud masks for their messiness and overall more drying results, when it comes to oil-control and dealing with more serious congestion, I will whip one out! 

Even though sheet mask versions of mud masks are more expensive, I love them so much more for how much cleaner they are in application and clean up compared to potted/tube mud masks! What makes the new Dr. Jart Pore Remedy Purifying Mud Mask more unique than other mud sheet masks is the inclusion of PHA and sea salt to gently exfoliate the skin. Green kaolin clay works to remove buildup, blackheads and suck up excess oil and has just the right amount of mud to feel productive without worrying about chunks falling off your face!

The mask itself comes in two parts and is quite thin with a layer of green mud on just one side. Application was fast and easy with the sheet mask fitting PERFECTLY around all contours and into problem areas like around the nose. The mask also felt almost breathable as if you look closely, there is a tiny bit of a weave to the fabric.

Duration: 20 minutes (I left it on for 40 minutes, but I would not advise doing this as it made it harder to peel off the mask once dry)

Hydration: Not stripping of moisture at all!

Other notes: Upon removal, my skin felt like I had just dusted a super silky loose setting powder on top! My skin also looked loads brighter!

Final verdict: I looked at reviews on Sephora for this mask and a lot of people found application messy which I found a bit puzzling as I don't see this mask as any more messy than scooping clay out of a pot. You barely need to rinse this mask off as there isn't even much of a residue left behind, but to each their own. I loved this mask for its clarifying results and pronounced increase in skin brightness! I used this after a long day of cleaning and it felt so good to use this mask! I will definitely be picking this mask up again!
