MAKEUP | Avon Cashmere Complexion Longwear Foundation and Concealer

Nothing excites me more now than a fresh bottle of foundation to try out. I didn't always used to be this way with the first foundation review only appearing on Cosmetic Proof in 2013 because that is when I first used foundation EVER! Up until then, it was Asian BB creams or the Pur Minerals 4 in 1 Pressed Mineral Foundation because it was powder and easy to blend. Liquid foundations would freak me out because I was convinced they would be cakey, but over the years I have found that by taking care of the "canvas underneath", most foundations get a fair chance and give me a good idea of how they wear and look throughout the day.

MAKEUP | Mary Kay Perfecting Concealer Review with Swatches

I have to say, I was not expecting this as a summer release from Mary Kay! For the last two years, the collections have been brights and fun colours and this year was actually more on the neutral side with the release of the Natural Essentials Palette (review) as well as a product I was not entirely expecting to like - the Mary Kay Perfecting Concealer (6g/$17.50CDN), a now permanent addition to the Mary Kay makeup family. With a lightweight, long-lasting formula and light-diffusing properties, this concealer hides dark circles, blemishes and even reduces the appearance of fine line without any cakiness.

Garnier | BB Eye Miracle Skin Perfector aka “Looking Less Like Death in the Morning”

As tired as I may look, I really hate using heavy makeup or concealer to hide my hard circles. In all honesty, I tend to skip the step entirely or just use whatever BB cream I’m using to hide them as best as possible. If I’m feeling on the ball, I’ll grab the Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller which is a bit watery in texture, but does brighten up my undereye area. I thought the new Garnier BB Eye Miracle Skin Perfector would be similar, as this product also promises to correct dark circles, minimize puffiness, awaken the skin, even out out skin tone and of course, hydrate that thin undereye area. So, how did BB Eye measure up?

Eve Pearl | Dual Salmon Concealer and High Definition Dual Foundation with Swatches

I have talked about Eve Pearl before when I reviewed their Smudgeproof Liquid Eyeliner and really loved how thin and precise the brush was and today I present to you one product that I loved and one that I had to experiment with before, like Goldilocks, I got it just right! First up, I have the Dual Salmon Concealer ($39.00) followed by the High Definition Dual Foundation ($56.00).

High Definition Dual Foundation - This luxurious, lightweight cream foundation provides the most versatile sheer - medium – full coverage with a non-greasy texture that glides on the face, while allowing your skin to breathe.  The 2-shades of foundation blend into the skin and the universal spectrum of color in the pigments adapt to the skin tone and the changes caused by body chemistry, weather and sun exposure.

Dual Salmon Concealer - Revolutionary, counter-intuitive way to cover dark under eye circles with two shades: use the darker shade to neutralize blue undertones under the eye and highlight the inner and outer corner of the eyes with the lighter shade.
