SHEET MASK | Papa Recipe Bombee Pore Ampoule Honey Mask

The last Papa Recipe sheet mask I reviewed here was less than impressive compared to its siblings (Green Honey Mask) when it comes both to fit and general results which was surprising as after trying four different Papa Recipe masks all had been successes. Having said that, I got back on the Papa Recipe train when I saw the Pore Ampoule Honey mask on sale at T&T and crossed my fingers that I would be wowed!

The original Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask was the first sheet mask I tried almost six years ago that truly fit like skin. Up until that point, I don't think I had truly experienced a mask where I couldn't tell where my skin started and the sheet mask began. Since that very first mask, I have picked up EVERY Papa Recipe mask in existence and have shared all the ones I have tried here on Cosmetic Proof with a general love for them all. The Bombee Green Honey Mask Pack is no exception even though it did disappoint me in certain areas.

As expected, I took a little bit of a hiatus as this past week has been very busy at work for me and I have been coming home feeling rather zombie-like so apologies if the content here is only nails and sheet masks! We also watched a couple of movies this week including Shang Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings and No Time to Die which were entertaining and ones that I had been wanting to see! My goal is to watch 100 movies this year and I am currently at 80 so I think with all the Christmas movies I want to watch next month, I will be able to achieve my goal!

Well Happy New Year everyone! We have made it to 2019, Trump is still President, Elizabeth Warren has made her bid for 2020, Justin has finally moved on from Selena and the beauty world truly became a lucrative jackpot for brands and makeup enthusiasts alike, but not without some drama. Well, you won't find that here today! I tried out hundreds of sheet masks in 2018 (quite literally thanks to my #100DaysofSheetMasks Challenge) and though it was a bit of a blur, I do have some true standouts to share that truly worked for me starting off with one I talk about a lot!

I feel like I talk about Papa Recipe a lot and though I may not do it here on the blog, I often use my Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask when I need a recharge, recommend this mask 100% of the time whenever people ask me "What sheet masks do you recommend?" and have just purchased another 10 of these masks during the YesStyle Boxing Day Sale! Needless to say, my eyes were truly opened when I first tried this mask two years ago and when I read my review now, I feel like I am a little wiser after having tried just over 200 sheet masks this year! I *thought* I sheet-masked a lot two years ago, but if you had told me I would be doing it almost everyday now in addition to having done it for 100 days straight, I would have told you to GTFO!

Korean Beauty | Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask Review with "Melfie"

With the number of sheet masks I have tried, it is getting harder and harder to differentiate what is a GOOD and what is a GREAT mask. The sheet mask market is so saturated that it really comes down to the minute differences in mask fit, scent, ingredients, how you look in the mask (haha, I know!) and how it makes your skin feel. Generally, I haven't met a sheet mask that didn't make my skin feel good afterwards. What I really need to start doing is the full Korean beauty routine and using a sheet mask EVERY OTHER NIGHT which is apparently when you can start to see results. Seeing as how I have at least 100 sheet masks in my arsenal, I can probably do this for the rest of the year and still have masks to spare!
