December 2013 Empties

December was a month where there wasn’t too much time to be conscientious about using products up. I kept meaning to dive into my samples stash, but had too much on my mind and decided to wait until January to be more active in product usage. This edition of empties is short and sweet which might be disappointing for some of you who were expecting more from me! I’ll try harder this month, I promise!

1. The Body Shop | Vitamin E Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes (25 wipes)Thumbs up

I have written about these before as a favourite of mine and they are the ONLY cleansing wipes that I have repurchased. This is my second package of these and they certainly won’t be my last! My face feels clean, but not stripped of moisture which I would think is important for most of us!

2. Kerastase | Elixir Ultime (3mL)Thinking smile

I’m on the fence about these mainly because of the price and the fact that I have many other products that I can use to make my hair shiny and silky without the price tag. 3mL did last a number of applications as a little truly goes a long way, but I’m still not quite sold on this product.

3. Fresh | Sugar Lemon Soap (200g)Thumbs up

YES. This smells so good and 200g is a huge bar! This was a $15 bar of soap, but my God does it smell amazing and last a long time!

4. Lush | Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner (10g)Thinking smile

Don’t get me wrong, this product certainly made my skin feel soft after a shower, but I kept forgetting to use it! For me, remembering to apply this in the shower was difficult and outside of my regular routine (which I think works for me!) so I don’t see myself incorporating this into my bath and beauty regiment.

5. 6. & 7. La Fresh | Nail Polish Remover Acetone-Free (1 pad each)Thumbs up

I first received a sample of this in an old Glymm bag and even though they were acetone-free, smelled so good that I vowed I would find the full size of these one day! I managed to find a full box of these wipes at Winners last month so I will use these sparingly. They are scented like Tuscan Orange and even though I’m sure it’s awful to inhale the fumes, at least it’s not so bad if you do!

8. Villainess | Scintillating White Sugar and Peppermint Body Scrub (198g)Thumbs up

I picked this up while the Glymm store was still operational and I’m really glad that I got a chance to try out this brand because I have been happy with all of the products I have tried from them! This is deliciously minty and is a grittier scrub, but not super rough like the Cake body scrubs which I cannot even use on my upper body. The bonus is that it slowly turns into a moisturizer so your skin is super soft afterwards!

9. L’Occitane | One Minute Hand Scrub (100mL)Thumbs up

Best hand scrub that I have used so far! It smells like the Shea Butter line so if you like that scent, you will like this hand scrub. I use this almost every time I remove my nail polish so probably 2-3 times per week! It also leaves my hands incredibly moisturized so I don’t even need to use hand cream afterwards!

10. skoah | Hydradew Mask (60g)Thumbs up

I love this stuff as a mask, primer, moisturizer everything! I have far fewer blackheads since I have started using this product and it tends to reboot my skin when it’s looking dull. I’m on my second jar of this and because this is a gel, it lasts FOREVER!

11. & 12. Spa Utopia | Shampoo and Conditioner in Rosemary Mint (30mL each)Thumbs up

These were in the hotel we stayed in after our wedding and I love them! They smell oh so good, like the Aveda line, but not quite as drying. This smells like a clarifying shampoo and conditioner, but doesn’t strip your hair of moisture. Spa Utopia sells them in 1L bottles so I think I might have to get a set!

13. Rimmel | 60 Second Top Coat (12mL)Thumbs up

I have probably had this for 8 years and remember liking it quite a fair bit! I cannot believe I have had this top coat for so long! I don’t even know if Rimmel even makes this anymore, it’s that old!

And that concludes all of my items for 2013! In total for 2013, I’ve used up 253 items! WOOHOO!
