It’s the weekend (specifically the long weekend) which means beauty box catch up time! I mentioned in my last beauty box post that I have since unsubscribed to Topbox, Petit Vour, Wantable and now Vegan Cuts. Not because they were bad, but because I just want some time to enjoy what I have been sent. My May Vegan Cuts box actually got lost in transit and customer service happily sent along another. As always, I really enjoyed what was inside and managed to score a nail polish that I’ve been lemming for!
Superchic Lacquer | Nail Lacquer in Shimmering Violet
Just look at these bottles! Superchic Lacquer is an indie polish with some seriously cool colours. This is a 5-free formula and the colour I received is a beautiful shimmery, iridescent lilac that I will HAVE to wear soon.
Pacifica | Natural Eye Pencil in Jet
Pacifica makeup always gets me excited because I love their packaging and the quality of the products all while being vegan-friendly. I have a lot of black eyeliners, but this mineral eyeliner promises to be long-wearing so let’s give it a go and add it to the 20 other black pencils I have open. I don’t even think I’ve ever FINISHED a pencil eyeliner…
NYL | Velvet Transformative Serum
This is a dry facial oil that is used as a serum although I am just trying it out now and I would feel comfortable just wearing it without moisturizer. This dry oil is a blend of plant oils with anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. It smells a little funny, but that tends to be the case with all things natural and plant-based.
Grasse Roots Perfumery| Perfume Oil in Blood Orange
I have received this perfume oil before in my Petit Vour box and love that this is made by a Canadian company based in Stratford, Ontario. This particular scent is citrusy, but in a earthy and musky way.
Lip Glosserie| Asian Pear Lip Balm
OMG, this smells just like a juicy Asian pear and is so smooth on the lips thanks to apricot oil as the very first ingredient. Oh god, it just smells divine. Lip Glosserie also has many other delicious-sounding scents such as Chocolate Orange and Chai Tea.
La Fresh| Nail Polish Remover Wipes
I have used La Fresh nail polish remover wipes before and actually purchase the full size pack of this particular scent because it smells like real oranges. I know I probably shouldn’t be sniffing the remover pads, but I can’t help a quick sniff here and there. As for one paid for 10 nails…I have tried before and by the 10th nail, I was working real hard to remove my polish!
And that’s the May Vegan Cuts Beauty Box! I loved the nail polish and Pacifica Eye Pencil which were both enough to make me happy. The box was well-rounded with an item for the nails, eyes, lips, skin and body so I didn’t get an overload of skincare which some boxes tend to do.
The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is $19.95 USD + $8 for Canadian shipping.
