This week's CBB ManiMonday theme is "Childhood" and I had been wanting to try these Toy Story nails for the last month so it worked out perfectly! These nails started a day of watching old Pixar movies which was pure bliss followed by a well-deserved nap because I have been feeling the beginnings of a summer cold...I only hope that I can nip it in the bud ASAP!

For this nail art, the toughest nail was definitely "Woody" as there were quite a number of colours used, but thankfully the other nails were much more straightforward and overall I am pleased with how everything turned out!
Pointer: To recreate the bottom of Woody's boot, I painted two coats of Maison Jacynthe Panarea* and then wrote "ANDY" with black acrylic paint.
Middle: For Woody's vest, I painted two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Dandelion*, followed by two white half moons using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri White*. I used black acrylic paint to finish of the cowhide print and the added a gold Sheriff's star using Essie Getting Groovy*. For the plaid effect, I used a red striper polish to draw lines and a grey and white polish for the buttons.
Ring: For Buzz Lightyear, I kept things really simple and started off with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri White* followed by Cirque Colors Kushy* for his bright green control panel. His purple stripe was painted by hand with CND Vinylux Video Violet* and the buttons on the control panel with acrylic paint and a dotting tool.
Pinky: For the clouds, I started off with two coats of OPI Infinite Shine I Believe in Manicures* and then used a dotting tool to create the clouds using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri White*.
I finished it all off with a MATTE top coat this time which seemed to make everything more "toy-like".
