Ok, I am cheating a little bit as this was a mask that I wore for last year's #100DaysofSheetMasks challenge, but I am determined to empty out my "Masks Unblogged" folder by the end of 2019! I was a bit overzealous last year in thinking that I could pump out 100 sheet mask reviews, but better yet that EVERY mask deserved a dedicated blog post. Some masks are just pretty to look at on the outside, but then when I try it there is nothing in particular that makes it different from another plain white sheet mask that you have seen before. With Kocostar though, the packaging is cute, but then you NEED to know what these slices look like on the skin! I have already reviewed the salad portion of their mask slices series (cucumber and tomato) so it's time for some fruit!
Purchased by me
I was utterly fascinated with the concept of mask slices last year and though I prefer a full sheet mask I understand how they can be more beneficial with their targeted application. The Lemon Sliced Mask is a brightening Vitamin C mask with actual lemon fruit extract and hydrolyzed collagen and elastin right at the top of the ingredients list!
Unlike the tomato slices, I found the detail on the lemon slices to be quite good so that they looked fairly realistic!
I know you can put these anywhere on the body, but where else would I want brightening? My legs? I guess my neck and decollete?

Final verdict: The biggest question to answer is whether these masks brightened my skin after 20 minutes and the answer to that is "probably, but it wasn't insanely different than how my skin was before". Keep in mind that when I used this I was I more than halfway through the sheet mask challenge, so my skin was looking pretty glowy by the end of it! Technically, there would be some difference if you hadn't exfoliated in awhile or used any brightening products, but my skin was at its best so things kind of plateau out at a certain point. They were surprisingly hydrating though so I will give these masks points for that! Either way, still a fun little mask to try that you can even do with a friend!
You can find Kocostar at Anthropolgie or at www.kocostarusa.com. I bought mine at the Anthropologie store!
